Golf Memorabilia

Does anyone collect autographs and/or golf memorabilia? Is there a thread or section that already covers this topic? I didn't see any, so I thought I would start here.

I love to collect golf autographs, flags, and have some putters as well. I like to get stuff signed when I go to the events but have bought some cards on the secondary market. I'm away from my primary residence but will post some pictures when I get back there.

I like to collect the Pin Flags from all the majors I have gone to. Also collect some headcovers and putters. Would love to add some autos to the collection but not always interested in fighting the crowds.

Does anybody's clubhouse display golf memorabilia? If so, what kind of items are on display? Would be cool to see what is out there in the clubhouses, as well.

Yeah I sometimes dedicate a single practice round for autographs and the other days for enjoying golf. I used to be more of an autograph hound then I am now. What sucks when hounding autographs is the amount of action you are missing. The crowds can get backed up too which always suck. You just need to pick a good spot and set up shop. It seems like a lot of certified autos don't go for a lot for golfers. It just depends on who it is.

I've collected various things through the years. Most notably off the top of my head, a phil mickelson signed 8x10, mike weir signed card, DJ Trahan game-worn glove, and some titleist tees from Graham Delaet. My buddy every year gets a flag signed from whoever he can get when we go to the Travelers from guys like Jason Day, Dustin Johnson, a bunch of big names.

Love me some Tour Memorabilia.

I collect napa/bb2/8802 style putters and Bettinardi ball markers.

I collect signed 8x10's and have some pin flags as well. I try to get the photos personalized if possible.

Our clubhouse is quite old-skool (over 100 years old) so is full of display cabinets of vintage clubs and balls - there's some amazing stuff there! They've recently gone for a few modern touches though and a photographer member who visited Augusta has his photos on display around the club as an exhibition.

Personally I don't collect anything other than bag tags and markers I get given at different courses. Oh and I won a Bernhardt Langer singed ball on Mercedes Golfs Facebook page.

Here's a trading card of Annika Sorenstam. The shirt piece on the card is matched to her final round win at the 2002 Kraft Nabsico Championship.

Those balls are awesome! You should dedicate a couple rows to show the phases of the moon

Brown is one of the very hardest to get hold of. Anything with Metallic in it [Gold, Silver; and Black gets included in that] can get expensive.....and Copper and even more-so Bronze are on another level rarity and value-wise.

Ping kept no record of numbers or even colours made though, so there are a few i know exist i havn't got. And i'm sure a few rare colours are out there that none of the collectors have even seen yet....... Thats ones of the reason its quite addictive. You never know what will appear next, and where.

I first started getting them in 2013 and my first one was of Adam Scott.

My buddy and I started a tradition when we play in players club tourneys the loser has to buy a flag and let the winner sign it with any message he wants. It then goes up in the office. Here is the one I have up currently. Also a nice pic of the greats

I have a Golf Book Collector thread over in the Classic golf section. I enjoy collecting golf books and when possible getting them signed. Not a big fan of signed pin flags because they sometimes tend to fade. Having said that I do purchase a flage at each Masters I go to. Started doing it back in the day when you could purchase mail order items from Augusta.

Besides that Scottish Golf museum site you should check out Green Jacket Auctions. They have a ton of stuff that is simply awesome. Trust me.

Got a solid collection of pin flags from some of the top tier facilities I've played, or events I've been to. Have a few displayed in my office currently (Pinehurst & Doral). I've also missed a couple too, which bothers me (Pebble, Spyglass, Congressional). My boss is going to Ireland in September and playing Royal County Down. Hopefully I can get him to pick me up a pin flag from RCD to add to the collection.
