Miyazaki B Asha wood shafts (particularly 3R)

I discovered that the Miyazaki B Asha shaft, especially the 3R, was a real great complement to my Ping K15 driver. i am currently trying to find another Miyazaki 3R shaft and having considerable difficulty finding one.

I have tried ebay, GolfWorks, Cleveland/Srixon, Dallas Golf and even several club fitters and am being told that they are not available. Dallas Golf told me that Miyazaki is only selling to OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and Cleveland said they are not getting any from overseas. Does anyone have any update to this issue?

In order to have a backup, I tried to do some research on different shafts and came upon the Oban Devotion 4 Regular and decided to have that put in my back up driver. Anyone had any experience with that shaft? I have a preference for a light shaft and have tried many (with the Miyazaki B Asha 3R being the best fit). I am older with an 85 mph swing, 66 years old with a handicap of 9.

I appreciate any information or thoughts you might have.

I bought a Cleveland classic driver on rock bottom golf for $69 to get a Miyazaki JDL. A little searching you can problably find a deal on a driver and pull the shaft.

I bought a Cleveland classic driver on rock bottom golf for $69 to get a Miyazaki JDL. A little searching you can problably find a deal on a driver and pull the shaft.

Thanks Ping Rat. I actually bought a Cleveland Classic driver even cheaper than that for the Miyazaki C Kua 39R shaft and it just did not perform as well as the B Asha. I will take a look at the JDL and see if that model is as light as the B Asha.

Yeah Sumitomo Rubber Industries (SRI) aka SRIXON Dunlop whatever who owns Cleveland and Miyazaki yanked these shafts last year. We used to be able to get B.Asha's right from Miyazaki's USA office in SoCal for $150. You can scour ebay for random shafts or like mentioned above Cleveland club pulls where these were free upgrades. They are set on making Cleveland a wedge, SGI company and for Srixon to carry all the new clubs.....Srixon is putting a single new Miyazaki shaft in their new 355 line though so that's cool.

I still have a couple B.asha 4S, one is 44" and one is 45" with a cally adapter and I still use it occasionally with my X-Hot driver.

Also, you can look at your driver oem's pre-owned sites for shafts with your adapter already installed. I got my Kai'li from Cally pre-owned for $99 with the adapter, great deal.

anyone know where I can find a 3R???

Not sure about the 3r. I got a 3s with ping g30 tip if anyone is interested.
