Where to get cheap-GOOD golf clothing???

I was wondering where I could find some nice brand golf clothing on the cheap. I have previously used gppgolf, rockbottomgolf, and golflocker. They are alright but they don't get new stuff in very often. Any ideas would be appreciated. I usually wear footjoy, peter millar, and vineyard vines. thanks

I'll be the first to post and the a-hole who has to say it: you're not going to get top brands cheaply. At least not without significant searching. The three brands you listed are some of the most expensive, and ones that do not discount stuff that often...particularly not new releases.

If you want quality generally speaking you are going to have to pay for it. If you want a brand name you are almost certainly going to have to pay for it. Check out the discount racks at the big box stores for some 6mo old design Nike/Adidas/Ashworth/Travis Mathew stuff.

Yea. I understand that. Just wondering if there are any places I should look. It doesn't have to be just those brands I guess.

May not help your situation, but perhaps others who read this thread...

Outlet stores. Maybe we're spoiled up here but there are many of them. Plus Macy's and JCPenney always have something on sale.

As do Pro Golf Discount and others.

+1. Outlet stores can have some great sales. You stack a good sale on an outlet price and you can grab high price name brands for cheap. That being said, I'd rather stack a good sale on and outlet price for a cheaper brand and get it even cheaper. UA/Nike/Adidas/Puma/etc can all be found for relatively cheap at the outlets here.

Why not? its really not bad advice, I've scored some absolute gems from goodwill. 2 J.Lindenberg's, 4 Peter Millar, lots of fairway&greene, a nice one from Augusta national, some from desert mountain, turnberry, and other private tracks. Nothing wrong with looking, and all the ones I picked up were pretty much brand new, looked like they weren't ever worn. Plus you can literally buy 20 shirts for the price of one JL new. And no one will ever know the difference. Just search at the ones with communities next to golf courses.

In fact I think I'm gonna start a thread about all of my pick ups haha

I get my golf clothes from TGW. Great selection and price. I'm partial to Ashworth and have yet to pay over $25 for a shirt - typically under $20. The outlet stores in my area usually have poor selection and the prices aren't that great.

nordstrom rack. the ones by me seem to be flooded with peter millar polos, even their tech 'E4' material. priced around 30-40 bucks per shirt.

Some of the George brand at Walmart, I've bought several (20ish) and they have lasted for years and look every bit as stylish as some big brands...I pay between $7 and $12 for them, practice in them, work in them and save the 3 or 4 high dollar brand ones for weekend rounds and nice courses.

Macy's Greg Norman, clearance 15$ shorts and polos.

I got sent into Walmart for cat litter or something and swung by the menswear to check out the golf shirts. I walked out with one of the George shirts for $5 and a Ben Hogan shirt for $7. I was impressed with the fit and quality of both. I'll stop back in there again for sure. I have some nice shirts to wear but who wants to wear a $50 Under Armor at the muni and get it snagged on the torn pleather on the cart. The price was right at $5!

Hey you'd be surprised. I have a nice collection going on from adidas to RL to brooks brothers to vineyard vines. Shirts, pants, shorts.

If you'd rather pay $50 for a shirt that I can buy for $2, more power to you. Some even still had the tags on them.

There's just something to wearing pre-worn clothes that I can't do. I have a comfort in knowing that they've only been with me. Are we still talking about clothes?

Every LACOSTE item I own came either Goodwill, Salvation Army, Value Village, or a garage/yard/carport/moving sale.

People have forgotten about the little alligator. Still a great quality product.

There's usually some Footjoy stuff as part of the extra 25% off clearance events at Golf Galaxy

Uniqlo. Looks great on Adam Scott. Great quality, nice selection and priced right.

Marshall's often has decent stuff, but I usually just wait for things to go on sale online. Picked up a great pair of Puma pants + Adidas shirt for $50 from Carl's Golfland this year. Also recently got a pair of Izod pants + shirt for $45 from Macy's.

If you're patient you will find good deals online.

I just buy clothes when I see them on sale. I don't really need any new clothes, but I keep buying them. The latest was the Amazon sale on Izod. $5-8 shirts. How do you pass that up? I picked up some C9 shirts and shorts at Target for less than $10 online a while back and they are pretty good. Not great, but better than good enough. The shorts especially are comfortable. The Ben Hogan stuff at WallyWorld is ok too, made by Perry Ellis I believe. If you have a Bell's outlet near you can go to town. PING, Callaway, Faldo, PGA Tour etc. all for less than $20. Hard to beat that for retail. Penny's and Macy's constantly has coupons if you sign up for their emails. Your wife probably already does.

I will second the used clothes being rather, um, gross. I don't want to wear anyone else's stuff. I am amazed that people sell their cast offs on the BST here, and get a decent penny for them too. Very strange.

It's all about being a smart shopper, and knowing what to look for. Not everything in an outlet store is a factory second or lower tier product.

For starters, you need to forget those 3 brands as they are definitely NOT cheap. You can Nike and Adidas stuff all day at almost everywhere on the cheap comparatively speaking and u can get some awesome deals at tj maax and marshals if ur willing to troll the racks.

TJ Maxx has good stuff at pretty good prices

Have found alot of Greg Norman,Adidas and Ping shirts and shorts at Steinmart and unlike the other discount stores usually have full size runs.

Adam Scott would look good playing in [email="!@#$"]!@#$[/email] from K'Mart...I wouldn't compare your clothing purchases to what he looks like...so says my wife.

Dillards is having a clearance sale on golf clothes right now. Most of it is their brand (I can't remember the name), but there are a few UA, Nike, and Callaway items mixed in at my local store. I got a UA polo for $26 and some UA shorts for $35 last week. It might be worth checking out. Best of luck!

I'll second Steinmart. I haven't been there since I have started buying golf stuff, but I have gotten other clothes there super cheap.
