Custom mannkrafted putter

For those of you that don't know about MannKrafted putters, they are the bomb. LaMont Mann is the guy behind all of the putters, and he does a fantastic job with them. I have bought one in the past, and loved it. This is why I decided to step it up and get my dream putter from him. The head is GSS, Damascus neck, copper face insert and sight dot, sound slot, custom interchangeable weights, a matrix PZ graphite shaft, and a leather grip master grip. I am also having him make me a ball mark, key chain, and divot tool to go along with the putter. I will be updating pictures of my putter as it is being built, and if anyone has any of LaMonts creations that they want to share, please do so.

LaMont got my idea copied down today for my 3rd... I told him to take his time and no rush. I'm loving my MA66 just wanted another lol

Have numerous customs from Lamont myself and a few putters he has redone or changed for me from other manufacturer's. He does great work and great guy to talk to. If i ever get back in his neck of the woods, i owe him a round of golf and a few rounds of drinks for putting up with me over the years! Lol
He has 2 putters of mine now that he made for me! Cause some times one custom at a time isn't enough!

Just got some pictures of the progress

awesome looking head so far!! I currently own 6 Mann putters...2 Ma/66 , 1tour used center shaft handmade mallet, an early 2009 handmade twist neck blade, a long slope armlock prototype stamped "test Piece" and a Long slope carbon with 1 off star face milling and a long pipe neck nickel plated..... Currently using my copper double bend shafted Ma/66 and I can tell you that its the softest most solid stick ive ever used... I love it !

How is the face insert held in place?

I'm having one made as we speak as well! I found communication slow initially but as we chatted, the word NO or "that is an upcharge" never entered the conversation. Lamont is a gem to deal with.

He will be adding screws to secure the insert, but they are as much for looks as stability

Wow. That's just keeps getting better. Really going to be a special putter when Lamont is finished.

This thing is starting to amaze me. LaMont milled the face and added the screws for the insert today, and it looks great. Will be posting more updates as I get them...

Agreed tmac. The design of this one is leaving no excuses! Really is going to be a gem!

Just keeps getting better. LaMont is going to make some copper and aluminum weights to go along with the tungsten ones.

According to LaMont's FaceBook page, this putter is taking the prize for "most expensive direct sale". You can see why with all the options. BTW, I LOVE that top weld on the plumber's neck. Great idea!

I am curious though... When you can have any weight you want, why the weight ports? What finish are you going to go with?

I want to be able to have the putter be different weights for different green speeds. Which is the reason for the custom weights. And thanks for all of the compliments!!!

I've been so impressed with this build and look forward to your finished putter. So many elements I'd like to 'borrow' for a future build.

Just put two Mannkrafted putters into the rotation and I couldn't be more pleased with the product and service. Seamless from start to finish.

The slot has been cut!

That thing is just bad. I thought I went " all in " with my double bend copper ma/66. This one has me beat. Time to start thinking a new one up!
