Who is Jeff Overton? Wow, to ask sucha questions seems unfallable to me. If you follow golf, you know Jeff Overton. One of the top amateur players over the last five or so years. A standout at Indiana, standout in USGA events, a hero at the Walker Cup. Come on man, dont hate on the man that much. you will see his name ALOT more real soon. Got some talent and knows how to use it.

Unfallable = not a real word. Infallable = perfect, flawless, etc. Not a good fit either way. The man wasn't "hating" as you say, merely questioning who he was. Not everyone follows Amateur golf.

That said, Overton is a stick. Really just a solid all-around player, nice kid, handles himself with a lot of maturity on the golf course. Mizuno should be a great fit for him. I like to see good amateur players stick w/ what got them to this level. Plus, it leaves him a lot of flexability with everything other than the irons. He can play a taylor driver and sonartec FWs and a two ball or whatever he so desires, while still getting to play the irons hes accustomed to.

Azgolf you are correct - the guy i carried for at q-school played with him during the 5th round - he is playing mp-33 2-pw, vokey 52 and 58 raw, 905S with Vista Pro 80 X and a two ball putter. Will say this the kids will need to learn a few things when he gets out there. Throwing clubs, stopping around and dropping the f bomb every time he hits a bad one and more importantly causing a distraction to others in his group will not cut it out on the big tour.

Nope, that bullxxxx won't cut it........sounds like he acts like a spoiled brat??

How did your man do? I coached/caddied @ Orange County National @ 2nd stage about 3 or so years ago. That Crooked Cat in the wind is a b****......we played it in 40 mph winds.....especially that Par 3 thats about 230 with water short and left and No. 9 into the wind ain't no picnic either.......you can make a lot of birdies, but, an "X" is always just around the corner if your not careful! And the friggn' greens are REALLY quick for Bermuda and IF the grass is already dormant......jeeez......billiard table fast.....:)

BTW, we didn't play the other course......how does it stack up to the Cat? Didn't look as hard from what you can see from the condo's......

ObieTrice5 - first off didnt say anything about his ability but rather the way he carried himself on the course. He is very talented and most likely do well on the tour - but to quote slicefixer who hit the nail on the head...he is exactly that ....."sounds like he acts like a spoiled brat" Ryan Moore certainly doesnt carry himself that way

By the way not to stressful...my buddy finished with in the top 100 giving him conditional status on the nationwide... not too bad to be within the top 100 out of 10,000 ....how did you finish?

Your right, Ryan Moore is a class act all the way. I sat on the range @ Winged Foot with Chris Nallen and Ryan filming them hit balls @ the Am.......BOTH are class all the way.

I hope your buddy kicks butt.......his number should get him in a just about all the events @ the first of the year......just needs to make a couple of cuts before the first re-shuffle and he's off to the races......I wish him nothing but the best of luck!
