I tried the regular balanced #9 type head a few weeks ago and really liked it. Was slightly larger than the Odyssey and Cameron designs for that head shape, and I actually liked the larger size. Hopefully the counterbalanced model makes it to the Golf Galaxy floor display - a #9 head with increased stability is intriguing.

I never see Nike putters in stores anymore. This is a little surprising seeing as Rory is using a more traditional groove technology.

Perhaps another line is coming.
There is a rod with moveable weights that slides in the end of the grip. This allows to custom fit and put the counter balance weight where it works best for you. All other counter balance putters just have the weight in the end of the grip. I have tried it and for me the weight works best right behind my bottom hand.

How come these counterflex putters have been talked about since the beginning of the year but I've never seen them anywhere?
They never made it to retail. Production issues that delayed things.
Seems like this has been the case for a lot of Nike products recently. IIRC the Vapor wood line was delayed ~6wks at the beginning of the year, and this year's non-counter putter line didn't even make it into stores until April or something. I with they would go back to the looks of last year's line, which is too bad because I've always liked the feel of Nike's inserts/RZN milling.

Based on this i assume it is similar to balance certified amt insert?

Based on this post, i have to ask, does this mean the amt from balance certified is not USGA approved?! I will be very surprised to learn that.

I am just interested in the counter weighting insert and the sooner the putter is released, the sooner i can buy one from 3rd parties =D

The woods were. Demos were supposed to be out in early Jan but didn't arrive almost until the actual release which IIRC was mid-Feb. I was told production issues.

Good to know, not sure why they're doing reveals 6mo in advance then. First look at the Method line released in April(ish), along with the counterflex, was in Oct. 2014.

I swear, Nike is just fail at design. Why the hell would they put a plug in the end of the handle? So everyone with GPS tracking, and all kinds of other things in the end of their putter can't use it. Do the people at Nike live in a cave or ever go outside and look around? Notice ALL other manufacturers have a hole in the end to attach things Nike? Notice that? Game golf and other things are pretty prevalent.

Will not buy.

Wake up Nike. Wake up.

The number of people using game golf or other things in the hole of their putter grip make up probably 1% of golfers. This is only for their counter balance tech, not all of their putters. Hate much?

I don't know, all other counter balancing insert enlarges that hole and plugs it with something that cannot be used by conventional grip attachments.

I even know of a grip company that blocks that hole with a ball marker holder and the hole can't be used.

Those are still in business i think nike will be fine.
