Got his from David a while back. This is the newest version of the Ming, just a touch wider and has a rocker sole like the DH89 and 009. Feels very solid and confident look.

Just arrived from Tuscaloosa to Sydney. David Mills handmade Prototype in Carbon with welded flow neck in a beautiful 'mud' finish at 350g. As usual, my lousy photos do not do my putters justice. :-)

So I still would love to know what happened with the Mills/Odyssey deal that was quietly announced at The PGA Merchandise Show earlier this year. Did it never get formalized?

You will love it. I posted these on another thread but my square-toed Nellie came in last week and it is amazing. This is the thread that convinced me to do it and I could not be happier.

I'm sure it varies but for mine, it was right around 2.5 months.

They haven't told me, but they did say mine would take a little longer because they have to send it to California for the PVD finish.

I'm sure Craig, their sales guy, thinks I'm a nut-job. I spent the last few days going through all 12 pages of this thread over and over taking screen shots of everything I liked. Then my order was basically:

-Face milling: whatever you did in this picture...

-Finish: whatever you did in this picture...

-Face stamping: whatever you did in this picture...

Craig is a fantastic individual to work with! Enjoy the process and more importantly the putter!

    You will not be disappointed.

This is how I've approached every custom I've ever purchased. I enjoy the process almost as much as receiving the finished work.

I look forward to seeing your future contributions to the thread.

Here's mine...liking it a bunch with that great Mills feel. Heard it called a Tribute or modern One with pocket. Kind of a cross between a Heritage and a 12. Probably not going to kick my DH89 out, though.

I have had this 8802 style putter from David for a while. Stamped as being a SS, but is an oil can Carbon.

Wolf whistles for this one. I think you know how I feel about 8802 heads!!! :-)

Not quite as nice as your Masters special - but close!

Beautiful putter! Very similar to a Weld Neck, Oil Can, Carbon 'Super Fast' I own. How great do these set up at address - they just feel like they are going to make everything! :-)

Thanks Rob! 8802 are one of my favorites as well.

That "Masters" one has a very special place in my collection!

That Proto in mud finish of yours, is a thing of beauty!

Hope all is well in Oz?! image/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />
