Used to play a Titleist 975 J-VS (non-conforming) and now play the 983K. Nothing spectacular, just solid, reliable. Any mistakes are me, not the driver :)

Ping G2 10.5 degree with Grafalloy Prolaunch Blue - reg shaft

It is the straightest and most forgiving driver that I have played.

TM R510 (non TP version), 9.5 degree, Stock MAS shaft - Stiff. Bought it in June of 2003. Its incredible. Small head about 330 cc's. Still have the original grip on it. I love it because its perfectly square and super solid and very long.

Titleist 905T 9.5* loft with a Stiff Grafalloy Blue shaft.

i play the TM r510 tp 8.5* with a grafalloy blue stiff shaft

but im lookin at gettin a TM r7 tp 8.5* or 9.5* with a grafalloy blue stiff, or try to find a 580xd tp with the same specs

Fo' real. The J33R 460 shall challenge it. Death to the defeated one!

Launcher 460 Comp. Tried a lot of others, and this one felt the best, had great distance, looked good at address (it's a mental thing), and was forgiving.

Note: My Titleist 983K (listed as my backup driver) hasn't been put to the test on the course yet (only a simulator).

Cleve Comp 10.5 :) stupid easy and long.

R5 TP 10.5 / SIX inbound and could knock the Comp.... :cheesy:

I'll say the best is the r7 tp on the purest of hits

But, the G2 is staying in my bag. It's the best all-around driver out IMO

OK, So most people on here are equipment Ho's. From everyones signature, it's clear that we all play a full selection of varying manufactures and models.

 

I've listed most of the main manufactures in the survey, but can only list 10...... sorry.

 

Please post your Driver spec loft shaft etc when you have voted. With the amount of members on the site, this should be an interesting survey for the masses. It would be great to cover this in one thread.

Lefty, you were right, it was a difficult decision to make, but i did vote Titleist, i currently have a 905T w/ a V2 in the bag, so that is my pick for now, subject to change of course.

905S 8.5; 2 open. Aldila NV 75S. Don't like shaft at all. Great head though.

Cleveland Comp 10.5.

This has to be the easiest driver in the world to hit and its long and forgiving which is the perfect driver IMO.

r5 TP 9.5 w/ Fuji 660TR X - w/ a little xtra special love from Joe Kwok.

I have only hit the Titleist 905, Cleveland Comp, Taylor Made R7 and R5 Tp, Ping G2 and the Ignite 460 for recent drivers.

My favorite is the 460cc Cleveland Comp. This driver is square faced and turbo charged. Seems to have a hot head compaered to the Titleist 905 heads. Also very forgiving.

The Ping G2 is an animal also. I could have gone either way. The looks of the clev won as well as the results for me.

Nicklaus Air MAX 440 10.5*, stock Fujikura SG Pro Shaft ®

To me the best value for a driver. You can pay a lot more but for an average player like me it works great. It lets you know from the sound when you hit it right. Very similar to the Ping G2 which I almost bought until my local shop steered me to it, but $100 less.

I play a MacGregor M 38 V Foil Eye-O-Matic with 10.5 loft and graphite design YS-6.1 stiff shaft. Distance is good, but not great. However, I can control the shape of the shot and trajectory much easier than other drivers I have used. I use to play a Titleist 983K with 9.5 loft and aldila NV 65 stiff, but could not work it as easy as the MacGregor.

Titleist 983E - Why? Becuase I have not hit any of the other drivers listed and this one is stupid long. I have a 400 yard drive to my credit with this club. I just wish I could do that more than once a season.

Mizuno MP-001 460cc 11.5* NVS-65R

Have used borrowed 975J-VS, Orlimar Hip-Ti, and Ping G2 over the last year, but leaked all of them right. Mizuno is dead straight.
