Grip Master Grips

I'm about to order another set of Grip Master Grips and was just curious how many people here are using and if so, what kind.

How long do those leather wrap beauties last?

I'm sure this has been discussed, but are these babies worth it?

I'm about to order another set of Grip Master Grips and was just curious how many people here are using and if so, what kind.

I've have the round, smooth Mahogany ones on my sticks for two seasons now and they are still tacky and in good shape. I'll more than likely change them out this spring sometime. As far as I'm concerned, these are the best grips on the market bar none. I used to change grips at least twice a year before I got these. As far as I'm concerned, they are worth the price in the long run.

Well, I've only had them on since the beginning of September and they're still ridiculously tacky...and I played around 4 times per week up until the middle of November. I wouldn't be surprised if they last a full three seasons.

Are they worth it? IMHO, I'm going to say yes. Granted, they're a little pricey compared to your standard grips, but you won't be replacing them (or your glove(s)) as much either. Just think of them as "tour" grips and it's much easier to justify. :)

sakman, for what it is worth i like the gmrr58's best. i have the gmrr on my driver, gmrop on 3 wood, gmro's on utilities, gmrrsrp's on irons and gmrosrp's on wedges with gmtphl on my two ball.

driver one season. irons one season. utilities 4 seasons. wedges 4 seasons. all grips are as new. use of clubs 3-4 times per week.

Thanks sarg! I just ordered another set of the GMRO-SRP's the other day...yes, I'm addicted.

I had the GMRO Pro Taper Smooth on everything until I went and sold it all like an idiot :dntknw: . Gripmaster are one of the sweetest grips around and are well worth the money. I"m still using the Pistol grip on my Napa. I love the feel of them after they have been on a while. I think I'm going to try the Pro Taper Perf. this time around. I'm going to use them for incentive to play with the same set of sticks for a year :drinks: .

pro pistol putter ... mahagony and black.

Gripmaster is great. I have played those same grips you have (in black though) for quite a while. I also have one of those as well in the putter. I would definetly recommend them. Great grips. Though sometimes I still put on some GolfPride Velvet Victory cords on the woods as that was the grip I played before the gmasters.

I play the tan perforated round. I also tried the cushioned but found them too mushy.

I expect they will last at least 3 years and are worth the money.

I got two seasons out of my Black Perf. SR The Grip Master leathers. I probably would have gotten a third season, but bought new irons (J33's) a few months back. Also put Black Perf. SR's on them!

This last batch wasn't at quite the same high standard of quality. Hopefully it was not indicative of any changes in their manufacturing process or location. I ordering a few more for my new wedges (Scratch) and woods. I'll post if quality is an issue again.
