If they're drinkers, a nice bottle of whisky/scotch/wine, if not, Starbucks gift cards are basically cash in the golf industry.

I second this one. As Golf Professionals we work a ton of hours (not whining, just a fact) at the expense of our spouses. It is a very cool gesture to ask your pro if he/she and their spouse have a favorite or special restaurant and get them a gift card.
Personally, this is great because it includes and acknowledges their spouse and makes them feel important as well.

If they are not married or you don't want to spend that much then go with a Starbucks card.

We appreciate any gesture.

Tennis racquet, pool cue or shooting lessons at a gun club.

Something to get him/her away from the members.

A float trip to fly fish, ski lift tickets or a gift card to the shooting range all work for me!

Booze
BINGO!!!!

I bought mine a couple bottles of his favorite wine and my teacher a bottle of his favorite scotch and a box of his favorite cigars.

I forgot, but Greg had a great idea, a gift certificate to a nice restaurant in town. I've done that on my Pro's BDay so I basically save his wife from spending HIS $$$ to take HIM out for HIS BDay, lmao.

Great suggestion. But rather than ask about a fav. restaurant, you could try the opentable gift card. There are over 3,500 restaurants and no fees. I am using a card I got at the Chart House next month!

We will appreciate anything. But take a minute and think about what you are wanting to give and to who. My HP is a drinker, any bottle is good for him. Me on the other hand, I have 10 bottles at my house that I will never open and probably re-gift (sorry). A gift card to a nice restaurant puts a huge smile on the face of my wife!

If you're not a drinker, booze makes a great gift for re-gifting!!!!

I will be the first to tell you that whatever you decide to give, will definitely make their day. You would be surprised how much it means to us for a member to go that extra mile.
And it doesn't take much. Means a lot when members think about us that way.

Anything you can do for us as stated before goes a long way. Just knowing that we are actually a face and person rather than just "the help" is big. No matter if it is booze, gift card, cash, etc, it all means a lot. Thank you for caring for your PGA Professionals.
