PXG Golf Ball?

This showed up at the golf course I used to work at, anyone heard of anything?

Have an inquiry out to them right now about it. I'll post if they respond. Very interesting

Is it me or does it seem to have huge dimples? Not saying it's good or bad, just an observation.

Definitely interested to hear more about them though. Seeing how Parsons spares no expense on his clubs I wonder if the ball/s they end up producing something that can compete with Pro V1, Pro V1X or surpass them? But seeing the prices of the clubs I guess I wouldn't be surprised if they almost reach $60 a dozen. But just speculating though.

Giving Snell a run for their money with that huge logo. Probably not on price points though.

Have not heard anything about a PXG ball. Maybe this was just a promotional item?

Curious to see if they choose an "aspirational"price point.

Very interesting. 300 dimples and larger in size obviously. Other Tour balls like the ProV1x, TPx, ZStar etc all have between 320-340 dimples. I am curious to see what this is all about.

You think if PXG would do anything, it's put MORE holes in the golf ball.

I like the look of the big dimples. I haven't seen any PXG stuff in person (mostly because I don't want to fall in love with something I can't afford), but based on pictures I like everything except the driver. Maybe someday I'll drive a Tesla and and play a full bag of PXG stuff. One can dream.

Price range will be you firstborn child. In all seriousness, excited to see a review on these after hitting some PXG clubs recently!

Looks awesome, I'd definitely try it. If I know anything about the guys at pxg, it's that whatever they make will be very good.

That just might be the best reply of 2015!

Fewer big dimples sounds like higher launch and low spin.There are so many balls to choose from that, I'm sure even some contracted PXG tour players aren't putting this ball in tournament play.

Bringing the screwball to golf?

I wonder if they are being made for them by another ball company i.e. Brigdestone etc. I think that is what nike did to get onto the golf ball scene, before incurring huge expenses to have their own manufacturing facility.

Haha!! That really made me laugh. As if Golf isn't expensive enough as it is.

Rule #1 of golf equipment manufacturing:

DON'T GET INTO THE GOLF BALL BUSINESS.

That side of the industry is totally dominated right now. It's not even worth trying.

Seeing as Bridgestone is quitting the UK market with a very good line of balls and the backing of a massive parent company I am baffled as to why Parsons would risk a ball before its clubs become established. To this day I doubt either Callaway or Nike have ever broke even on balls....as for pricing there is no market above the V1, Z-star and Tour Preferred. Any attempt to sell above that would be suicidal.
