never had a Ping driver but this one looks good.. plenty of info on the Ping website also the new g irons also .

I love PING but am disappointed not to see any "real" aftermarket shafts available for no up-charge....

The shape of the G LST is definitely much improved. Might convince me to finally give a Ping driver a shot.

So is Ping off the 2 year driver cycle now? I really hope not...

Do we know are the Tour shafts the exact same as those available with the G30 ie 65 & 80 - same specs and manufacturer etc?

Are the adaptors the same?

So much respect for Ping's marketing - not claiming 37 more yards, just 1 mph in clubhead speed for average players compared to g30. That's the kind of honesty that makes Ping different.

Alrighty then, I guess I'm making the trek to my local to see if I can get these on an LM.

As has already been stated above, disappointed that they're no after market shaft options (as always with Ping), and that the price has gone up!

It used to be, now it's 18 months between G launches, other products may go longer.

definitely will demo the LS version, but 45.75 stock length. currently gaming a 43.75 and 44 total length including grip.

They usually use both suppliers..........they don't like to be tied to only one in case of a production problem

I'll give this thing a whirl. From the Youtube reviews I've seen there isn't much muting of the sound.

I gave the G30LS a good run but I (as a hard drawer of the ball) found it very fade biased. Therefor I found the driver to be erratic.

This year's weights screw in and out with a torque wrench, and they have the weights listed on them for easy tinkering. Especially with the heavy heads, shorter builds with the G drivers are much easier.

I'll give this thing a whirl. From the Youtube reviews I've seen there isn't much muting of the sound.

 

I gave the G30LS a good run but I (as a hard drawer of the ball) found it very fade biased. Therefor I found the driver to be erratic.

This reviewer can confirm it's quieter. It's still a Ping, but you'll notice the difference.

Definitely gonna have to give this a swing, especially the LST. I really just dont see Ping making a bad product. I thought the looks would be a proble but I actually like it.

Last years weights were in and out with a torque wrench.

Interesting aerodynamics for sure, but now I need to get used to "Vortec" and "ALTA" on top of "Turbulators"? With all the other OEMs partnering with non-golf companies, maybe Ping could have worked with Vortech Superchargers on this. :D

Seems tough to top the G30, and it looks like they're trying to squeeze out every ounce of flow improvement these days.

if it sounds and feels softer off the face than the G30...PING would absolutely have my interest.

Tour shafts and adapters are the same. Ferrule on the adapters this year, but other than that exactly the same.

In Reply to Who the Tour Player was who switched to Callaway, it was Jason Gore. As you can see his WITB was shot this morning.

Hmm I'll be doing a driver fitting at the Ping facility in the next month or so looking forward to trying this out.
