I'm starting my second year at Blackstone / Black Bear. So far it's been a blast. Met a ton of great guys and a lot of really good players.

I sure wish the snow would melt.

I think that's my eventual plan. Ball park on the fees if you don't mind?

    Hey everyone,

I've joined the CommonGround Men's Tournament Club. Looking forward to it after a year of trying to figure out Denver.

We were hoping that maybe around Pueblo it might be open. One of the guys is thinking of relocating there, thought maybe a road trip might be in order.

I would hope but we still have a lot of snow cover in our area (Parker). Drove my Black Bear on Saturday and there is still quite a bit of cover. They aren't going to open for a while. I would think maybe courses either further up north or maybe down towards the Spring might open this week. I'm hoping to get out Friday.

hit balls at murphy on sunday and even tho they had cleared part of the range the ground was very frozen. hopefully with the warming trend we can get some live golf in. where were you thinking on friday?

I will be joining my golf league for the fourth year in a row. Hopefully I will also defend my match play title, too.

I've been skiing the past two weekends; now I have three consecutive weekends of busywork in the front range.

Got out for 9 at Commonground this afternoon. 4 holes at 65 degrees...then that brutal wind pushed in. Any January golf is nice!

played Overland on Friday and Spring Ranch on Saturday. Both days were nice... it was just great to be back out on the course. Sadly, I think it's going to be a while before we get back out again.

I never knew that you could play golf for free at the Broadmoor during the winter months. Sadly, it's just a 10-hole circuit on the West course, but still. My daughter's gymnastics team has already committed to going back to the Pikes Peak Cup next February, so if the weather gods are nice, I'll be bringing my clubs along.

Didn't know that either. Hope you get to play.

I live in Alaska, but I have family in Colorado and I'm coming down at the end of the month. I will be using the app to find some people to play with at that time.

In an interesting turn of events, I might be turning in my two weeks' notice next week. If so, I'm going to try to negotiate a week of playtime between jobs.

A few days skiing, a few days golfing. I have a few BOGO coupons for Lone Tree Golf Club that I'd be happy to share with this group. Will post if/when it happens.

Played the front 9 at Saddle Rock this morning- a little windy but shots were grabbing on the greens. Felt great!
  • masamitsumasamitsu Members Posts: 2,481 ✭✭
Played Aurora Hills on Saturday. It was good to be out. Was nice and warm when we started (1206 tee time) but the wind picked up after making the turn. Played Omni yesterday. Man, was it brutal. It was cold and breezy when we teed off (1036). By the time we made the turn it was freezing and windy. I'm still thawing out :P

Hello everyone. Kind of new to the area. From Laramie, WY but have an apartment in Parker, CO and work in DTC Monday-Friday. Still maintain my membership up north as most of my golf is on the weekends and I'm the men's club president up there but would like to meet a few people down this way and maybe hit a few afternoon rounds during the season.
