Yep' I live in sunny Queensland on the Gold coast right next to Lakelands Golf club. There are 17 golf courses and driving ranges within a 10 Km range of my front door.And my wife hate's it.

Hey Addam I was just over your way for the long weekend I was there with my guys approx 20 and we played our annual Tournament at The Glades. All I can say is we lost the Tourney but we partied hard.

Hey there, I'm not an Aussie, but my mother lives outside of Brissie. I just took a trip there in December. I played Brookwater, Gailles, Coolangatta, and a couple other local courses. When I go back, I would love to check out Lakelands and some other courses around the Gold Coast.

My uncle lives in Portland Oregeon I bought my first Mizuno Driver at some fancy Private Club over there I was very impressed with thier facilities.

I forgot the name of the club though let us know when your back and I will be more than happy to take you around our fantastic part of the world.

Hello fellow Australians. I live on the Tweed Coast, a stones throw away from Queensland. I am finally starting to play golf again after suffering a broken finger. Hopefully I will play on some of the courses on the Gold Coast that I havn't played yet. Its good to see alot of you are from the Brisbane/Gold Coast area, its usally mostly people from Sydney on forums.

coomealla is a very nice course.

it can become a very hard course if you dont drive it straight because there is scrub land everywhere.

the hardest part of the course is missing all the kangaroo's, they seem to like falling asleep in the bunkers and dont like to move if your ball goes close to them.

I would recommend checking out the OzGolf forums (www.ozgolf.net) as there is always games being organised in different parts of Australia. Some of the members who have posted above are members, but obviously it slipped their mind.

What did you think of my backyard track??? Lakelands is nothing special. If you're back again, check out Pacific Harbour (Bribie Island) and Hope Island. Or better yet, get down to the Melbourne sandbelt for Australia's best courses. A short flight over to Tasmania and you can stay and play at Barnbougle Dunes. I played it 4 times over a weekend and i still remember almost every shot!

Joe, my wife comes from Avoca Beach which is close to Woy Woy. There are some great courses in the Central Coast area. I played at Tuggerah Lakes GC around Easter time, which is Nikki Garret's home course (ELPGA winner), and really enjoyed it. It is right on the beach which can get tough on a windy day.

Recently started playing again - I'm a member of Mount Osmond Golf Club, and used to play pennants but gave it away for a couple of years.

A new Titleist driver, and a set of Mizuno MP-67's on the way and I'm back into it again!
