So...I'm genuinely curious here...are there no patents for putter design? These look exactly the same as Tiger's Scotty Cameron he won all his majors with, the same as the Ping Anser Bubba just won with, I'm pretty sure Odyssey and other companies have putters that look basically the same as well...

I'm sure if I looked hard enough I would see differences but how can putter companies get away with making fairly blatant copies like this?

I'm not trying to disparage Piretti here - these putters are really nice looking, and as I've said other putter companies seem to do it, I just don't really understand how this kind of thing works.

I'm also sure this has been answered before but I don't really know how to look it up.

Piretti is the best, but they just seem to be more interested in limited edition or tour only putters. That 59 will probably never get a retail release.

This has been well discussed. That Cameron you mention is just as "inspired by" the original Ping Anser as these Piretti's are. Kinda hard to patent design shapes.

It never hurts to be in a top 10 guys bag thats for sure. I know it's extremely hard to get a milled boutiqe style putter in a pro's bag when Scotty has been doing it for years. Hope they have success this year because they are a good company.

I agree, but I'm also pretty sure he's still their go to distributor for Europe or at least part of it. He was rocking the Piretti and bag the year he wont he FedEx without being paid sort of to try and grow the brand having played Piretti for years before that. Well done, Henrik.

I know what I think that I hate, and I think that I don't hate those.

Maybe its just me, but the face stamping on a couple of those come pretty far out towards the center. The first one looked like it was nearly under the site dot.

I have a question for anyone that knows there stuff about the piretti putters line. Been looking at them for a couple days as I am in the market for a new putter. I just wanted to know is the cottonwood thicker then the potenza? When I mean thicker I mean from the putter face to the back of putter.

The cottonwood has a 20% larger head than the Potenza. It's the Potenza on steroids basically.
