Does Uniqlo realize that they sponsor Adam Scott?

Just went to the Uniqlo website to check out the stuff as I really liked what Adam Scott was wearing in the 3rd round at the Honda Classic. Not only did they not have a section for the stuff he is wearing but they don't have any mention of Scott or golf anywhere on the site. Doesn't it seem like you would want to have him on the site somewhere if you were paying so much money to sponsor him?

They only reference him on their Australian, and a couple other countries sites. But I agree it is weird, missing out on some purchases for sure.

Yeah, their website is terrible. I noticed that after he won the Masters, they had nothing on there related to what he was wearing. Same with Djokovic.

THIS!!! From what I've heard, they are a VERY rich brand in Asia. Same with La Ning.

I went to the Australian Masters this year which Uniqlo sponsored. They had a big marquee there and loads of the Adam Scott clothing. It was really cheap as well, about $30aud for a shirt and $50 for pants. I didn't buy anything there thinking I would be able to get it online later if I wanted, but it was only sold at the tournament. A week later the shirts were $80 on ebay. It's crazy

Scott may not have a US Contract with them.

Some of the guys have contracts with various sponsors in various countries.

If I'm not mistaken, Arnie had a different club contract in Europe, many years ago.

There was a period where they released a blog on their site listing each outfit Scott would be wearing for the upcoming four days before each major. You could also buy each item specifically in reference to Adam Scott. This was probably about 2-3 years ago.

Uniqlo overall is terrible online. I've noticed that both the Australian site and prior to Aus opening, I used to check the US site. Both had hardly anything available and no sizes. I'm not sure what the strategy is with that.

Adam has only been sponsored by Uniqlo since his 2013 Masters win.

I was in the MEGA STORE on Michigan Avenue yesterday they didn't have a single pair of Dri-Tech pants or Chino's in size 32-30, 34-30, 32-32, 34-32, 36-32 ... not to mention I didn't even see an Adam Scott type Polo (I'm pretty sure they don't even sell them with the UNIQLO logo). I have no idea what that company is doing but they're really missing out on some business. It's beyond baffling to me.

They got some cool for winter. Need to check out their other stuff

Yeah. I went right to their page after Scott's win. I check out their page on a weekly basis anyway since they generally have some good sale deals. I expected to get hit with CONGRATULATIONS ADAM SCOTT!!! or something.... nope. crickets. Too bad. I like their stuff.

Only thing surprising to me there is he doesn't exactly look like an under armour guy , but enough money always makes someone warm up to the idea of anything . Kinda like booze and women

Does Burberry have any sponsored athletes anymore? It's been a few years since Christopher Bailey took over and they must have hit their stride since then. What do your bosses at Burberry say when you suggest they sponsor Adam again?

With the exception of their jeans, all their trousers only come in 34" inseams. That would be why you didn't find what you were looking for. They typically offer a free hemming service.

I like their trousers and own quite a few pair and it pays to keep a look out for their sales, which pop up now and again.

As an aside they have now quite clearly recognized Adam's victory ;)

I was curious about this, so I checked out their site. If anything tells you their marketing doesn't get it, it's featuring their tennis player slaying some sweet riffs.

I signed up for the Uniqlo Australia e-newsletter last night and they had a $10 off code for orders over $50.

Then another email today with a 24 hour sale on some of their polos...ended up ordering a few polos ($15-20 each) and a couple of pairs of trousers ($40 each) to replace some stuff that's become too big for me after losing a few pounds over the summer.

I've never set foot in a store that sells Uniqlo but there are a few stores that have recently opened around Sydney - not sure what the prices or stock availability is though.

The stuff that he wears is all on the site, it just is not labeled in a "golf" or "Adam Scott" section. That is the appeal of Uniqlo to the golf world. I love their stuff (especially pants, sweaters, belts, not in love with shirt materials). Simple everyday stuff that you can wear casual, to work, or if you so choose, on the course. Their dry performance slim fit stretch pants are some of my favorite golf pants.

For instance, this is the shirt he wore Sunday (if that was the day he wore pink, I cannot remember for sure)
