Leading edge grind I see. They are a great looking wedge. Just worried I might like them and then in two years they aren't making them anymore. Who knows...

Not familiar with this brand really, do they make full wedge sets, iron sets?

How long is his contract with Callaway? I can see him leaving soon.

 

Not sure if Bettinardi has more in the works, but their website currently only offers putters and wedges.

Not sure if Bettinardi has more in the works, but their website currently only offers putters and wedges.

Could be pulling a Gary Woodland and leave Callaway to have a mixed bag.

 

Gonna be interesting to see!

I could see Harris English leaving Callaway before Reed, but I guess Reed to leave too

 

* English is still only 26 but it seems like his career has stalled since joining Cally....and both of his wins were when he was with Ping

* English still plays Ping woods (#3 & #5) and the Pro V1 ball

* he never seems settled with Cally irons, bouncing back-and-forth between RAZR X Muscleback & MB1's

* PXG seems like a logical destination where he can reunite with Ping engineers and tour rep

 

....but I'm just guessing

Aggressive grind, lots of relief, straight edge.

 

Wouldn't work for me ... have more success with a rounded leading edge to nip and help get under the ball

Sweet looking wedge!

 

Definitely interesting to see him tinkering with clubs away from Callaway. Seems like most of the Callaway guys seem to play with full bags.

When you're top 5, you do what you want lol. Kidding aside, he probably has the ability to play mostly what he wants. I've seen other Callaway players with a few non Callaway clubs.

I don't think Cally is as strict as some.....like I stated above English bags two Ping fairway woods & and a Pro V1x ....I recall Phil using a Ping Eye2 (conforming model) before the PM Grind model was created....and Woodland never switched to the Cally ball & bagged Vokey's before jumping ship
