Come on now, where is the American car love. Got to go for the Ford GT or the Dodge Viper.

no love for them because most roads I've been on have corners on them

You have obviously never driven either. That statement may been partially true of the original Viper, but definitely not the GT.

Of course I haven't, and I'm guessing neither you nor 99% of the people here have driven those cars. But going round a bend at high speed I'd far prefer a Bugatti Veyron or Ascari A10

Beautiful looking cars, i'd certainly have one for the weekend. If I had the money I don't know if i'd but one. We're lead to belive that there are cars out there that perform better, but Maseratis are exotic, out perform most cars you're going to come across day to day and look that great all the time.

Seeing as we're talking about something that's probably not going to happen, i'll have a Quattroporte for carting people around and somthing a little more old school like a Ferarri 355 for threasing round on the weekends.

The Audi R8 if I was going to be driving the car on a daily basis. Otherwise an interesting dream car would be the Bugatti Veyron.

But I would really rather have a Moto GP bike for a weekend. Give me Ducati Desmosedeci

If we're talking bikes I'd sign up for a Ducatti Monster S4R with the 999 plant. Comfortable, good handling, and a blast to ride!

Corvette ZR1 would blow the doors off most of those. As soon as I find $100,000, this is where its going.

Mustang guy picking a Corvette? Wow, very open minded; good on you! The ZR-1 would be my choice as well. Only 350 more horses then my 92. That's depressing.

Well, I've always been a Corvette guy, its just the Mustang is a bit more practical for my college commute in all seasons.

    I will own a Corvette though, the ZR1 would be absolutely amazing. If not, I'll settle for a Zo6 image/yes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

    Jesus....

Hmm, the Mercedes is nice, but it would be awesome to pretend to be James Bond in the Aston, but then again you can never go wrong with a red Ferrari 360 'vert....

On that list...it's the Lambo for the weekend, but the DB9 for everyday.....

If I was spending my own money (like I've got a spare $300,000 in my back pocket, yeah right !!) then it would have to be the Mercedes McLaren SLR

oh and if you want something better than a Bike for the same money buy an Ariel Atom... http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=WaWoo82zNUA

True, they're thoroughbreds. But the saying goes (sic) "It's nice to have owned a Ferrari, but once you put an Aston Martin in your garage, you'll have one in there forever...." and to quote Blazing Saddles " it's twue, it's twue"

    P.S. I'm a full blooded DAGO and I agree.......

Are you serious?!?! You must have had good luck with yours b/c a few close friends that had AMs had nothing but problems. They look great, but mechanically im not impressed. The depreciation of these cars is also terrible....just like my Porsche Turbo which went down the tubes.
