I would assume the tape is kind of reverse Seemore? Played with Omar last summer and he is a super nice guy. Very willing to trade war stories and let me look through the bag.

He probably uses one of those putting tool arcs and doesn't want the finish to be worn off on the heel.

That or possibly had it bent more upright or flat.

O-Man! I use to watch him play at the Lake Erie Charity Classic at Peek ‘n Peak Resort. His wife was his caddie, and his family would follow him around. They were a really nice group of people.

Very nice dude. Awful to play with because of how long he takes but you can not question his heart and intentions....and yes, lots of pissed off Texas PGA'ers as Omar is consistently top 5 at local events.

About the tape, I had an old Rossa Spa I did that to while I practiced putting. I did it so I made sure I setup with the face aligned correctly and not open or closed. Since the tape is on the back side of the hosel, I'm guessing he's doing it for that same reason. Or I could be completely wrong. Lol.

Just remember how upset he looked when Tiger hit the hole in one at Pheonix as he had just hit it inside 5 feet. Saw him give an interview in the last year and he commented on it. Too funny

Not to threadjack but, when I lived in Cleveland we used to take a trip to Peek n Peak every October for a long golf weekend. The upper course is a great course, and beautiful in the fall.

I played at Onion Creek and the Junior World at Torrey Pines with Omar back when we were teenagers. Awesome guy and back then projected to be one of the top PGA Tour players because he won everything as a teenager!!

Yep i worked that event as a volunteer on the range for 3 days. O-Man was very cool he was hitting next to Pat Perez brother Mike the stories they spoke about priceless :swoon: .
