Anyone familiar with Penguin apparel?

Looks like a very nice brand, albeit at a higher price point. Kind of a Lacoste look.

Might have to order a couple of polo's and see how they fit/feel.

Original Penguin's been around a long time. 50s 60s inspired preppy American sportswear that became pretty trendy years ago. Good quality. Slim fitting.

It's an old brand. Very classic preppy style, but nothing groundbreaking. Not the greatest of quality by any stretch. Nordstrom Rack carries a lot of it for very cheap.

Original penguin, originally Munsingwear I believe, has been around forever. Great stuff, great quality, but HARD to find a fit.

As above, check out Nordstrom Rack to try some stuff on. I haven't found a polo of theirs yet that will stay tucked in while golfing. They just aren't long enough.

And the sizes on their shorts are a joke.

I have a few of their polos, but only for casual wear. 100% cotton just isn't wearable on a course in the summer, and they aren't long enough to play in anyway.

The OP belt Baddeley used to wear I had to have and still wear it on the course from time to time. Watching the '86 masters highlights all weekend, one of those guys (Kite maybe) had an OP visor I'd LOVE to have.

Agreed on size. I'm 5'10 185lbs, and I felt like I would rip the back out of a large shirt. I normally wear a medium in RLX, Ashworth, UA, FJ, etc. In fact, finding a size that was consistent was pretty tough when I was trying on both polos and button shirts.

as mentioned, an offshoot of munsingwear, been around a long time... iirc from a few yrs back, trim fitting and wide collars. thicker 100% cotton with tight shoulders not the best for golf. ok for casual wear tho. if you're ordering from freshpolos, there are usually discount codes out there

I have some original penguin shoes and it actually mentioned on a tag in the box that Arnold Palmer wore a similar style they used to make.

I have had all negative experiences with penguin. To me - it feels and acts like very low quality clothing. Wear it once or twice and all of a sudden starts to fall apart, feel worse. Etc.

Original Penguin? Maybe my username has some relevance at last!
