Damn, you are right. When I read that edition I just glossed over the shoes and figured they were sneakers. Then I was sitting there wondering what colors of the AM90 golf shoe they would release... those Infrared ones will be a definite buy.

They don't look stable at all - just a different outsole than what is on the running shoe. Hmm.

is it me, or does the version he's actually wearing (shown in the actual article) look to have spikes, while the stock images, and i presume what will be released to retail appear to be spikeless?

funny. everytime something new and fashionish shows up, like rory's shoes, rickie's shoes, na's ankle pants, the wrx fashion police shows up and gets on a rant. just because it isn't cut like one of mickelson's baggy pant or an palmer shirt where the sleeves end in the middle of the forearm, doesn't mean it's not worth a try.

think of it like new shiny clubs. have a look at it, give it a try, or get over it

agreed. i normally shy away from black golf shoes, but with the recent releases of the lunar force 1's and now these, i may have to breakdown and get a pair.

I saw that, what a shame. Anything spikeless is basically an automatic pass for me. Just prefer the superior grip that I get from my spikes, at least in my experience.

Just a heads up, There's an entire thread devoted to Nike 2016 footwear, take a look all these questions are answered many times over in it.

Seems like Rory's spent a great deal of time the last year involved in the design of shoes and apparel for Nike. This is the 3rd different pair of shoes (LC4, Flyknit and now these) that he's been involved with this year and he was also involved with the design of the blade shirts too. Seems like Nike has him earning his fee, but unfortunately he's probably not spending enough time with his real job - golf. Maybe this is why he's not performing up to his standards - afterall it takes a lot of practice to be the top in the world and designing shoes might get in the way. Just a thought.

His putting sucks. That's pretty much it.

His input is probably just giving feedback on shoes, etc....

They have a team of designers that do all the the other work in creating the shoe. Others players test it as well, they don't mention their involvement too much since they are not high-profile players.

I don't think Nike making Rory trying out new apparel and footwear is affecting him much. Dude could play naked and still get it done.

Just his putter isn't going great.
