Wondering why a harder ball feels softer to me.According to specs the Prov line is softer then my choice of ball, the bridgestone B330.Also the NIke NOP and Black are rated softer then my choice.

When i tried out these balls they felt harsher then what i play. Why is it they felt harder?

If i remember correctly the B330 had a compression of 111 and the Prov and nike are around low 100's

When i did hit a topflite D Feel that i noticed was way softer.

I notice the softness or hardness of a ball most when putting. I use a stainless putter w/o insert. To me, I find the Bridgestone B330-S much harder than a ProV1. I also find the Bridgestone e5+ softer than the B330-S, FWIW.

Obviously, in putting it has nothing to do with compression.

How do the balls feel when putting?

Nothing wrong with a ball feeling just right.
