Raw length of shaft after pulling TM adapter from fairway shaft?

Not sure if this is the right forum but I have a shaft that is 42 inches total with the TM adapter. I was thinking about pulling the adapter and installing it in my m2 15* fairway and try to have it play at around 43 inches. Does anyone know if I would need an extension to do this and if so, how much? Thanks and apologies if this is the wrong forum.

Can't say for sure as would need to know the BBTG of the M2 fairway, but it should be close to 43". The adapter adds 3/8" to the cut shaft length. and many TM fairway heads have had BBTG around 1-1/4". If the M2 is the same, that would put the playing length just 1/8" short of the 43" target length. Worst case it's unlikely it's BBTG will be less than 1", and that would put the playing length at 42-5/8".

Do we know for sure how much length the M2 Fairway Wood head adds to a shaft since there is know adapter ? I've even called TM CS and they have no idea.

I called back and spoke to someone who knows what the hell they're talking about and he verified by building a mock club.

Thank you.This is exactly the info I was looking for. So if i have an M2 15* head and I have a shaft with a TM tip that measures just under 42" (with a 1/2 inch extension to get it to play at 42.5" in my sldr 3hl), it'll play a little over 43"? I play my 3 woods at 42.5"

To get playing length, you add the BBTG to the cut shaft length - which does not include the amount the adapter extends beyond the tip of the shaft. For TM adapters, that's about ~3/8". Subtract that from any shaft length that includes the adapter, then you can add the BBTG to get the playing length.

If I remember corrrectly, BBTG for the sldr fairways were roughly 1.25", so if the above BBTG for the M2 is correct, that means it will play only slightly longer in the M2 fw than it did in the SLDR fw.

Have we confirmed BBGM of the M1 fairway heads? I assume the same as SLDR but just want confirmation.
