Defintely a great ball for the price. Very soft, pretty long, and I have been able to spin these, but at the most only about one foot backwards.

Also, they hold up really well. I once played the same Nike PD Super Soft for 39 straight holes! Even after all those holes it held up very nicely. Unfortunately for me when I told my friend about my streak and that I was about to get to 40 holes with the same ball I ended it up losing it on my tee shot. :drinks:

Consumer Reports rated the Nike Power Distance Super Soft--the green Super Soft model--as the the second highest rated ball. Included in the competition were the Nike One Black, Pro V1, V1x, and two dozen other ball ranging in price from $15 to $44. The only ball that beat the Nike PDSS was the One Black. CR rated each ball in distance and accuracy off driver and 8 iron, "feel," and spin off an 8 iron. There were about 8 other balls that spun more than the Nike PDSS, but none other than the One Black that beat it in overall ratings. I don't like Nike in general, but I use this ball.

I have used the Super Far, and the Super Soft. Preferred the Super Soft. Seemed just about as long to me, however had better feel on and around the greens. Both are good balls, particularly for the price point. Right now I am messing around with Callaway balls (currently playing a Warbird) and I'm not really sure that I like the Callaway's better. I think I've heard that Nike is discontinuing the Power series, so hopefully they will come out with something similarly good to replace it. Great ball for beginner/intermediate players at a great price.

The power soft maybe the best kept secret in the ball market. Its distance, trajectory and durability matchs or exceeds that of the premium ball for persons with average swing speed. Greenside spin is lacking but when you look at the overall value of this low priced product .......you got to give it a try.

I tried Soft after hitting the new D2 Straight and Feel from TopFlite most of this year. I thought the SOFT was a pretty good ball especially for the money. For the bargain level balls I would rate it very high in that group but still prefer the TF D2 FEEL over it for overall play and better spin around the greens. The NIKE Ignite I think is a better FEEL type ball around greens......and can find some great deals on last years ball for about $14 per box at TGW and DICKS SPORTING GOODS.

The super soft is a pretty good ball for the price. At $15.99 a dozen it was a good value considering what this ball can do. The distance off the tee was pretty good. I was able to generate some pretty good spin off my irons with this ball. I also liked the really soft feel of the ball. Ofcourse you can't compare it to a pro-v or a nike one, but it's a good ball if you don't want to spend $40 per dozen.
