Big week for Latin American golf

    https://www.amateurgolf.com/golf-tournament-news/23390/How-to-watch--Latin-America-Amateur-Championship

The Latin America Amateur Championship starts tomorrow at the Casa de Campo Teeth of the Dog Course in the Dominican Republic.

108 golfers will compete for the title which rewards the winner with a Masters Invitation, an exemption into the US And British Amateurs and an exemption into final qualifying for the US and British Opens.

For the first time the defending champion won't be there as Joaquin Niemann turned pro, earned his PGA Tour card and is playing at the former Bob Hope.

TV Coverage in the USA is on ESPN2 Thu-Sun.

After two runner up finishes, Alvaro Ortiz wins the Latin American Amateur in his last shot.

He becomes the first Mexican to qualify for The Masters since Victor Regalado in 1979.
