Where to eat what to do near Treetops?

Spending 4 days at Treetops at the end of next week. Was curious if anyone had any recommendations on anywhere to eat or non-golf activities. Will be playing 4 rounds while we are there. Thanks!

I'll be at treetops next Thursday the 11th to use my group golfer vouchers. There will be 5-6 of us there. Since it's just the one night, we will probably just hang out at the on-site sports bar.

I'm not sure what downtown Gaylord has to offer, but I did hear the local cops can be an issue so be careful if you venture out.

Bearded Dogg is the best restaurant in Gaylord. I've heard the Alpine Tavern is good for burgers and bar food, but have never been myself. South of town on Old 27 near the Michaywe entrance is Bennethum's, which was excellent a few years ago, but have not returned for awhile.

We're flying in to DTW Thursday. Going to play Eagle Eye on the way up to Gaylord. Definitely planned on heading to the sports bar one night. Looks like they have a decent beer selection with some local brews.

Alpine tavern is very solid bar food. Great wings. Good burgers.

Bearded dog is good but it's expensive and the service is awful. We stopped going there after it would take hours to complete a meal. The food is also very inconsistent.

32 Tap Room is new and is probably the best restaurant in Gaylord. It's owned by the team that opened Diana's Delights.. Which is the best breakfast spot in Gaylord. 32 is def worth a meal

Paul's Pub on Johannesburg (like 20 min away) is a great, up north, dive bar, pub. Really good fried chicken. The best French onion soup in Michigan. It's a good, cheap, dive bar.

There is a new place called Market Street. I haven't been there for food but it's a cool atmosphere. The menu looked good (mostly Tapas and smaller meals). They had really good live music when we went there for drinks. Looks like a really good spot with potential.

Whenever up there.. I stop at Alpine and 32 tap room. Both those spots are great. Bearded Dog let me down one too many times. Paul's Pub we go to during longer trips. Bennethum's is also very solid. It's been a couple years since I have been there because I don't really like the environment. But the food is really solid.

For breakfast, we always stop at" Arlene's" on the main drag. Family run with home made breads. I always get the Cinnamon Bread French Toast. Really good. We travel there each year for a week of golf the last week of June. Stop there a couple of times during the week. Highly recommend.

I'll be in Gaylord in a few weeks so I'm re-energizing this post. Looking for places in Gaylord. Looking more for Brew pub type places vs high end.

Was there last month we went to the iron pig smokehouse nice place in Gaylord. We need the breakfast buffet on site not bad food there either. The town was having there street festival when we was there so just did the fair food one night the diet be damn
