Ever Search So Hard For A Putter You Found It?!?

Ever have a putter that you putted really well with or it was just the favorite putter you have ever owned? Only to regret selling it or trading it? Thinking that the latest and greatest is better? We have all been here before I am sure and sometimes we may never get that putter back.

But I got news... This is going to be one of those good stories. The type of story that may get you inspired to surf the web for that old trusty putter you use to have.

A couple of days ago like I normally do every.single.day I was searching eBay for a Scotty Cameron Studio Select (2008ish) model. It must be left handed. It must be brand new. It must be 350 grams. Low and behold up comes exactly what I am looking for from a Scotty Cameron collector.

Sorry for the excitement and the short story but I'll let the pictures do the talking. It's Left Handed 33" and 350 grams built for a PGA professional. The milling is slightly deeper than retail remiscent of the 1st of 500 putters milling. Conclusion: I FOUND MY GAMER!!!!!

Yeah I'm a person who loves trying new putters but I'm seriously trying to make this a permanent gamer. You have to start somewhere or sometime.

I won't derail the thread where this possibly could lead but the person I bought it from has quite the collection of Camerons. I asked and he did confirm its got deeper milling that retail. He described it as having the same milling he has owned and seen on the 1st of 500 putters.

Looks the same to me as well. I suppose every milling will vary by a few microns, so if this is deeper, it's not by much.

Great putter though. Tough to find a NOS from a model you love—in lefty no less.

I've actually been watching the same model but right-handed and I thought these were 360 gram heads w/ the 20 gram weights installed?

2x10 = 340g

2x15 = 350g

2x20 = 360g

Mine (NP, not NP2) was 320 without weights

You guys are correct. I think what I was trying to get at is the overall weight is equivalent of a 34" 350 putter. One inch off the putter at 33" and the extra 10 grams in weights using the 20's. Maybe I am thinking of this wrong. That's why I said desired head weight vs. actual.

Someone can def. correct me if I am wrong. It wouldn't be the first time lol

I know what you mean. I looked for a long time for a LH Kevin Burns 9303 before I finally found one in near mint condition. Being a lefty definitely make it harder to find the holy grail.

Didn't have to look far, mine was in the basement

 

 

Now my Scotty I have now which is a Santa Fe I found no joke. I drive a truck for a metal recycling company and I found it in one of the bins. It was so rusty I swear some one found it in a lake in fact the sole is pitted but that makes no difference because I have it lead taped anyhow. I am as hot with it as my old Zing. I did clean it up some but it is still rusty and I nicked named it "Rusty" It ain't pretty but it can roll the ball good

I was looking hard for a carbon 350g Cameron and managed to find a tour AOP NP 350g. Thought I was through then found another with a welded neck. I'm hoping it never stops.

Congrats on the find! I was a little late to the PING Redwood party and couldn't find a new one anywhere. After searching for a few years a like new black satin Anser popped up on 3balls and I've been bagging it ever since. Picked up a Karsten TR Anser 5 on a whim but the Redwood remains firmly planted.
