vibration reduction

ok guys i need to know how to make my s400s have that sensicore feel (and dont say hit the middle of the club no smart a** coments you know. on a serious note joe care to share the secret to how to install dowels i mean jsut the process i understand the concept please if anyone can help out

He has what is called ProSoft Inserts they are very cheap to buy and very easy to install. I installed one in a test ping s59 and it feels very very good. Hope this helps.

i installed the pro softs in my mp 30's and while they dont feel like graphite i would say they reduce

shock on a bad mishit by about 35% and if you go with advanced grips you can reduce shock maybe

another 10% with a change in grips such as the dual durometer

on slight mishits i think they are more beneficial as they might reduce vibration a little more

than a bad mishit - makes a slight mishit feel pretty close to a flush hit - maybe 65% closer

if graphite rates a 10 for reducing shock when compared to steel

and a steel shafted forged club rates 0 in comfort without any insert

then i think the pro soft inserts rate about a 5 overall

on true tempers website they claim steel sensicore is better than graphite by a good amount

when compared to each other but this cannot be true as the prosoft insert is apparently very similar

to sensicore and comes up noticeably short when compared to graphite

in the end try new grips and get some cheap prosofts

fyi i have only tried my new irons on the range with range balls so there actually is the potential

for even better performance with a softer tour caliber ball

If you are just trying to reduce the vibration without messing up the swing weight, You can just go to an auto parts store and get your self a rubber bushing slight bigger that the diameter of your shaft at around 21"-22' inch area from the butt.

Push 3 bushings down slowly w/ an old shaft at 21", 21.5" and 22", This way your swing weight will stay the same...just your static weight is up a few grams.

Dowels is more of getting a solid & softer feel at impact and a little on dampening the vibration.
