I just moved from a 25-yo set of Ping Eye 2 BeCu (original groove design) and 7-iron was my 150.
Now a smooth 8-iron or hard 9 will get me there with my new Ping Gs (which were fit to me with 1* strong lofts), and have a ton more bite on the greens. My old 100 yard club was a PW -- now it is the UW (gap wedge).
I love technology!!
If you are going to do this, be sure to post the model of club and/or loft, too. There are too many differences between brands and models.

With me it is a 6 iron at sea level of course I am 60 years old hitting a 1980 Macgregor blade iron.
In the case of the OP IMHO not too bad considering how long he has been playing
75% 9 iron or nuke pitching wedge.
Right in between clubs for me. My clubs are bent weak to more "traditional" lofts P is 47*, 9 is 43*.

Update, I just received my iBlades from Ping, went out and played and I gained about a club in distance with the same accuracy I saw at the fitting, my 150 club now is the PW...
