Speeder 757 S vs. Diamana 83S

I say stick with what works. I actually just got an R580XD TP Tour Issue w/the Speeder 757 shaft and absolutley love it! The club and I just go together. It was a natural fit believe it or not!

I played a Bridgestone J33R 460 w/Diamana 63 and was not overly impressed. IMO I think the Diamana is over-rated and over-priced.

In the end, I would stick with the 757.

But, you have to do what works and feels good to you.

Thanks. I need to work out the proper loft for teh 580. I have heard that the launch about 1* to 1.5* highger than the R510TP. What have you found with yours? I have a 9.5* R510TP and am leaning towards an 8.5* R580XD TP from what I have heard.

Mine is a 10.5* and have noticed vast improvement in my driving. My distance (280-290 carry) has improved. I have always played a 9.5 driver and have experimented with 8 and 8.5 drivers.

I get the best launch conditions with a 9.5 or 10.5 and I think IMO almost every golfer would benefit from added loft.

I have played the 757 for the past six years. My ball flight is low, but with the Diamana 83 in the R7 Dual my launch was way too high. Stick with the 757 or wait for Fuji to come out with the Rombax in the coming months.

Thanks, my concern is that I am a high ball hitter and do not want to get the 9.5* if it causes any ballooning in the ball flight. Obviously I will not be able to hit the exact combination, so there is a bit of taking a shot in the dark. I know that I can always swap the head for another once I get it, but if I could avoid that I would like too. Thanks

I too am a high-ball hitter and was intersted to see what would happen about hitting the 10.5*

W/the 757 I do not balloon the ball at all. I get that low, climbing line drive.
