Nike RZN stockpiling worth it?

My interest in RZN Tour balls skyrocketed when I found out about its 11,000 microdimples. Dimple-in-dimple is the only reason I play Bridgestone B330 series balls.

I'm thinking of buying several dozen before they are gone.

Anyone else do something similar? Or is that unwise because it is not sustainable to start playing a ball that is discontinued?

I've bought enough Nike Hyperflight and PD Soft to last me for a few years or more! I think there's always a chance of a certain product being discontinued or replaced with a slightly newer model, so I say go for it if you're really happy with them. Might as well enjoy playing with what you're comfortable with!

I'm staying away from anything Nike. Only reason is I don't want to love any of the products, only to have limited or no availability of products down the road.

that thought crossed my mind as well. but one of the goals I had when I started golfing was to have a full nike bag and since the announcement its become much more affordable to complete that goal plus I'm buying up as much as I can get my hands on and as much as I can afford. there will be a time later in life that I will be a club ho again. but for the forseeable future, I'm all nike.

I'm sure I could go buy 600 Nike RZN Black balls right now or something if I wanted balls for the next 10 years, but at some point I'd have to switch. And by then I'd probably be swinging differently anyway and that ball might not even fit me (currently play a med spin med launch ball).

I've tried every Nike ball available and none of them are worth over $20. Too firm and don't spin as much as any other "tour" ball.

I like the RZN Platinum for everything besides putting. It feels very clicks versus the Pro V. Luckily that issue is there for me otherwise I'd stockpile away dozens. If you like it, grab as many as you can!

I have a dozen of the One Tour D if you are interested, sent you a PM. Also have a half dozen of the <ONE * Black> which morphed to the Tour D when it was released.

I've obtained 50 dozen of the RZN Tour Black's so I'm good for a few rounds.........ha! I don't think I'll get around to playing the Tour D's anytime soon.

I bought some of the Rory headcover gift sets, 2 dzn RZN Tour Blacks and a headcover for $35 @ golfsmith. I am actively testing other balls for when I run out though.

The Snell MTB performs similarly imo, the ZStar XV was my old stand by but I like the Snell and the B330 better. Just picked up some Tmag TPx, giving those a shot next.

Tempted to buy a load of these as there's a good deal on the Nike UK website.

Only thing is I've never tried them so it's a bit of a risk. And I'm not sure on whether to go for Platinum or Black.

I have a fairly high SS, and hit the ball a bit too high with my irons with too much spin.

I'm guessing the Black would be better?

The black sounds like it would be the better fit. It's going to be harder in general. Some people prefer a soft ball, I don't mind something harder if it performs.

See these balls are even well priced in South Africa. Nike SA, probably wants a complete clear out by end of this year.

    2015 ( 240 rand / approx 16 us )

    2016 ( 300 rand / approx 20 us )

Think I'll stock up on the 2016 plats and the 2016 volt black.

I usually lose/scuff about 18-24 balls a year - so my 6 dozen dot platinums should last a while.

I'll likely go to eBay and search out more whenever these are all gone.

The 2016 RZN TP is a fantastic ball - right there with the Pro V1X and B330S. Anyone that has never tried it doesn't know what they are missing (I picked up almost 30 dozen of them as they were being cleared out around where I live). There's a good reason why Rory McIlroy made sure to stock up on "...three year's worth..."!
