I too offer my sincere thanks to Callaway and GolfWRX for this wonderful opportunity. You could have knocked me over with a very small feather when I was asked if I wanted to go. This will be my first golf trip.

I started playing at 50 and am now 61. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would have an opportunity like this. I'm still a bit in a state of shock.

Here is a list of excuses i will use when you see my unimpressive LM numbers with driver

    1) Arm fell asleep on flight

    2) Wind was in the face all day

    3) Going from the east coast to west coast you lose yards due to time zone

    4) My carry distances were in meters due to being Canadian

    5) Stop being a "hater" bro (not necessarily applicable, but will just write that)

Not sure what the dots mean but I heard the R stands for Roger Cleveland who designed the wedges. Not sure if that's definitive or not though.

We've exchanged phone numbers and email addresses in an effort to stay connected and provide everyone with updates without repetitious posting. We should get together and play a round once the weather gets better, I live in Fredericksburg and was part of the Gear Trials crew, congratulations btw, GolfWRX always does it big you will enjoy it to the max...

I echo the sentiments of my travel partners. This is going to be nuts! To say I am excited is an understatement.

It will be very interesting to get the numbers and fitting. I have been fit for irons in Golf Galaxy, but I want to see if there is any difference. Also, I have never had a driver fitting. All of my shaft changes have been trial and error.

I am very grateful to GolfWRX and Callaway for this opportunity.

i still want someone to legitimately answer my question on mixed materials...

callaway nearly pioneered it - made if successful - went away from it - moved back to it (after another OEM made it popular again). why move away from it? why move back into it?

Great question, I will also like to hear their explanation on that one.

I am going to guess cost and materials. Price on carbon fiber production and material tech has dropped a lot in just the last 8 years or so.
I've still gotta RAZR Hawk TI that was a beast though I'll never be able to take advantage of that again but that was a saweeet driver!

    Fairways & Greens 4ever,

It is quite the coincidence that you say that, Richard. The Razr Hawk Tour was the last Callaway club in my bag. It was one of the first drivers I acquired when I picked up this crazy game, and I loved that club (sound, flight, distance). However, the head failed and had to be replaced multiple times. Callaway Customer Service was great, but I finally gave up trying due to the inconvenience and uncertainty.
