Interesting. Can't wait to see what Rory will do with the new Epic SZ driver. Solly seems to have a good relationship with Rory, so I would be surprised if he didn't end up gaming the new gear

Wow I would have bet major dough he would be back with titleist. I wouldn't think it would be bc of money either since he has plenty, cally stuff just must have won out. Good for them, after this and recent wrx trip I'll definitely be giving them a better look for my next equipment purchase.

if he's playing 12 Callaway clubs. Including an Odyssey putter, and he's genuinely doing so because it's what works best AND they aren't forking over big money for him to do so, isn't that a bigger win for them than if he was merely fulfilling contractual obligations?

I believe getting an epic driver will not be much of a problem.

When I went to ECPC after Nike had closed down shop Rory was referenced a few times. Wouldn't be surprised if he's been testing Callaway for a while and getting ready to move into a full club deal.

First paragraph says "Callaway woods " but fair enough I realize that was the ops comment. But you said it wasn't any different to him using one TM club, I don't think that holds up even if he's using "only" 10 Callaway clubs.

I'm sure it's the latter. Imagine having unlimited time to test every possible combination of clubhead, shaft and ball, where money is literally never even considered?
