What are your imaginary sponsorships and why?

I tried to play all things Titleist- putter, wedges clubs, bag and ball- and all clubs Ping with bag- then I had a moment where I said "I want to play the best thing for me no matter what"

I had to "break up with my imaginary sponsors"

So I had to have an imaginary press conference in my mind explaining why retuned to my Sun Mountain bag, Ping irons, an Odyssey putter, and a Titleist or Bridgestone ball. I am continuing with Puma shirts and pants, but moved to Ecco for shoes.

The rash of pros putting together piecemeal bags has made me feel better about cheating on my lifelong "sponsors"

So, to recap my imaginary press conference:

1) I am staying on imaginary staff with Ping for irons and woods because I just like the way they look, the customer service is great- and I have shot my best scores with Ping clubs- I tried to add a Ping bag to my iron, driver and metal woods line up- but I went back to my Sun Mountain 3-5 (the best bag I've ever had)

2) I am still on imaginary staff with Puma for shirts and pants

3) I dropped my imaginary Puma Shoe contract because although the shoes I had were great and cool- I love my Ecco's - I now am an imaginary tour ambassador for Ecco Golf- I love the quality quirky, easy look of them.

4) I have resigned with Sun Mountain for bags- I should have never left.

5) After cheating on Titleist Pro V1 with Srixon and Bridgestone B330S, I may return to Titleist- I have 3 dozen B330S to go through- Titleist balls are expensive but hard to beat- I am currently "testing" the 2016 B330S and am in imaginary talks with Bridgestone as we speak about joining Tiger and company for a ball sponsorship.

6) I have never left Golf Pride grips

7) I am with Odyssey putters for now- although I have a Scotty Cameron that Titliest are trying to get me to play again. We may end up negotiating a putter and ball deal in the new year :)

I wanted to have an all-in sponsorship but in the end I decided to piece it together like Davis Love and Tiger, hahah

What are you sponsorships and why?

I have a shoe and clothing deal with Nike currently. Kind of sweet that they backed out of equipment, I get to test whatever I want and still reap the benefits of my apparel contract. I'm basically Rory without the talent and money.

Cuz I'm dan MF'in THREE SIXTY, and I can play anything, anywhere, anytime, anyplace, anyhow, for anywhat or who.

I've dumped all my sponsors. ****canned the lot of 'em. Why? Um, duh, re-read the first sentence again.

NetJets is hanging off my zipper so they're gonna be around. After all, why trash your own plane when you can get paid to trash a new plane every week? Ballin'

Cars? whatever, dawg.....just hire a driver service, and fire their candy a** when they don't show up, then wreck 'em on social media. There *will* be a Bentley everywhere I go, because they know. They read the first sentence. Fershizzle.

So all the hangarounds and wannabes in the golf equipment world know what's up and will be filling my palace with boxes of free **** in no time. Because controversy creates cash money, and dan MF'n THREE SIXTY is money.

And if none of that works I'll walk sheepishly into PING HQ and be a good company man with my ESPN 30 for 30 episode about change and new starts......

Ping irons wedges and putter , hideous grip and all!

They would probably like me to get into something more current but I don't see it happening any time soon.

TMAG Is paying me tee up money for using a $130 Dicks special glued head driver.

I tried to get some money from Cobra for using their hybrids but they told me to pound sand, which is exactly where I end up most of the time after hitting them.

I don't have a clothing contract, but if I start wearing some big name stuff they might want to pay me to stop. I'll get back to you guys on that.

Just got a sun mountain bag after Vindog Jr destroyed my Ping bag.

run of the mill driver with stock shaft
a couple of outdated hybrids
shovel-ier shovels
wedges from same shovel company
some putter with a dead insert and
a hideous grip

If i had to play one manufacturer. It would be Titleist. Second Callaway.

If I could choose it would be a Hodge podge like my current bag.

Of I'd need the plane deal. Netjets or something. Then a car deal. Mercedes or Cadillac.

Clothes. Addidas.

OK. Back to reality. Dog has to go out.

My thing is that Titleist makes good stuff all the way through the bag, and clothing and shoes with Foot Joy- I'm not as keen on the styles of FJ, but every pair of FJ I have had have been well made and comfortable.

Ping irons are more my thing because they are quality but I feel they are like a loyal body guard rather than a trophy wife

I've spent way too much time dreaming about this...

I think it would be awesome to score some kind of huge two or three company deal, maybe not even golf related - a car manufacturer, an insurance company, and whomever, maybe a watch.

Sell the marketing department on more discrete branding. Play whatever clubs you want and draw attention to the fact that you don't look like a NASCAR.

On a separate but related note: it's interesting to me the difference between the more athletic clothing companies getting so casual with the faux collar from Nike this year and the sneaker-like shoes, to FJ and the more conservative dressers in their Icons and gator belts. I like the looks of the dressier players, but I can't say it would be easy to commit to that considering how comfortable the Nike and Adidas stuff is considering they live at the golf course. I'm thinking my thing would be casual on Thursday and Friday and dressy on the weekend.

I debate about cool vs perceived quality- surprisingly, my Puma shoes held up well- I lost them though- then Golf Galaxy didn't really have any Puma that I liked- so I got Ecco, and I am glad that I did.

Foot Joy styles feel dated and stale to me, but I know the shoes are good-

I can't do the belts with badges and conservative dress- I wanted to be Freddy Couples in the mid and late 90's- visor. Ashworth sweater vest, easy stride down the fairway!

That's funny about the Lexus logo- I'm a Toyota fan myself!

I suppose Toyota sponsors golfers with the Lexus brand though for obvious reasons. I hope they wouldn't mind that i'd drive a Toyota though. Give me the new Tacoma TRD Pro for our winters here please!

It's working.

Kenny Powers just called, ya know, MFCEO of K Swiss? I guess he used to play tee ball.

Anyways he wants to be my "partner" at the AT&T and offer an 8 figure contract to rock K Swiss' new golf apparel and shoe line.

I told him speaking of line, the line to wash my balls forms -------------> over there.

My holiday Bentley has arrived, and with no time to spare. 10 til 10, and I want the first McGriddle off the line, Jeeves....drive it like you stole it.

360 out!
