Graduated a couple of years ahead of Jason and had the opportunity to go back and play with him and the team and handful of times. He has crazy game and he seems to be finding his way a bit more each year out there. I look for continued success and wish him the best.

Hopefully the equipment change suits his game quickly and he gets off to a great start!

Dream bag if you replaced those superman shafts with something normal humans can play. And two dream putters, just not fair.

I always like to check out Jason's bag... it's actually not too much different than what he was playing his senior year in high school at the Ohio State Championship. He won back to back individual championships and I believe he was the third person to achieve that honor... behind only Jack Nicklaus and Ben Curtis.

I had an up-close look at the bag his senior year because I played in that last group with him when he ran away with his second State Championship.

He had:

Titleist 975L-FE (7.5)- BiMatrix 95G
Callaway Steelhead (3+)- Steel
Titleist 681 (2-PW)
Titleist Vokey (58 & 60)
Pro Platinum Mil-Spec

Anyone remember the 975L-FE? What about the black, steel tipped BiMatrix shaft that was almost 100 grams?? It was a stock option in the L-FE and J-VS line... and a pretty good shaft for the times. I remember being so jealous of his 681s at the time and he had the TW special Vokey wedges... the 58.08 bent to 56 and the 60.06 at 60 so that both wedges would have the exact same amount of bounce. Tiger made that famous around those times and so a lot of us young players that thought we were good copied stuff he did with clubs. Both of us has Tour Velvet Cords with the logo down as well.... LOL.

He was really skinny at the time but about that same height... very tall, very skinny and he used to KILL it. He also hit towering long irons and could really chip and putt as well.
    XHP 3-Deep (13)- 7.3X @ 43.5”
    X-Forged UT (#3- 21)- DG X700
    716MB (5-PW)- DG S400
    Vokey (TVD SM7 RAW 52 & SM6 RAW 58)- DG S400
    Cameron Napa California @ 34"
