Picked up the NX7 Pro at the Golf Expo at Haggin Oaks last weekend. Have played once and compared it to my Leupold GX-2. Liked it so much better that I just sold the Leupold!

Got an NX7 Pro and played with it yesterday for the first time. Worked great. It's my first laser with the slope feature and honestly it's pretty nice to have.

I have had my Bushnell V3 for several years, just lost it about a week ago, no clue where.....

I found the code for budget golf and grabbed a NX7 non-slope just now for $186, needed something, this should do the trick.

Hi all - first time poster here.
I took advantage of the promo on the NX7 Pro and just had it arrive late last week, just in time for the start of our golf season here in Canada.
I took it out for my first round of the year on Saturday and I must say, my first impressions aren't positive, which is surprising since the product seems to have received nearly unanimous praise.
First of all, the weather was partly cloudy and cool (approximately 12 degrees Celsius or 54 Fahrenheit) and pretty windy. The first hole at my new home course drops about 120 feet or so from an elevated tee and I tried testing out how far the bunkers were away from the tee...it didn't register. I tried hitting some trees off the fairway...again, no dice. I didn't think too much of it and proceeded to tee off. I'd have no problems registering distances on my approach (from about 115 yards) and no issues with getting a yardage on the par three 2nd (again, only about 140 yards) but I once again was flabbergasted on the 3rd, when I couldn't pick up the flag from about 220 yards away. I sat in the fairway for at least a minute trying to get the target without success.
This continued for most of the round - anything under 150 yards was fine but anything longer and I couldn't get the unit to work. I even had my playing partners test it themselves on the 180 yard par three 11th and none of them could get a yardage.
Has anyone had issues like the ones I'm mentioning here? Again, there was no rain, no fog and conditions were cool but fair. I didn't play today due to heavy rains in Ontario and will give it another crack next weekend but it wasn't a great first impression.

I apologize for the inconvenience, we want to make this right and will replace the unit if a bit of troubleshooting doesn't fix it because there should be no issues getting any distance under 400 yards. Other brands have you hold the button but ours just needs a press and release and want to make sure you are just pressing the button to shoot the distances. If shooting through a cart windshield will interfere with the rangefinder and can prevent readings from being registering and being accurate. Another common fix is to make sure your hand or pinky doesn’t accidentally wrap around the front of the rangefinder. It can happen and not be seen through the viewfinder. And lastly, try cleaning the front of the product. If none of this helps, we will absolutely replace the unit. Hope this help and please let us know if it doesn't! Best! - Trey D.

I just wanted to follow up on this post - to sum up, I had major difficulties with the range finder my first two rounds and thought that I may have been sent a defective unit but since then, everything has been working perfectly. Thanks to Trey for the great customer service - it's a wonderful product. I'm not entirely sure what the problem was during early rounds but the cold, wet and at times foggy weather may have played a role. It's been a miserable spring thus far in southern Ontario...hopefully the sunshine will prevail soon.

Seem to be starting to have some issues with my range finder. It is not picking up the flag as often as it used to. Taking more time to pick it up in general. Anyone else run into anything like this? Think this is my 3rd season with it.

My Bushnell stopped picking up the flag, so I’m ready to make the switch. They are running a fantastic sale this weekend, but also NX9 HD should be out soon. You think it’s worth the wait?

We are excited for the NX9 HD and would wait but we are a bit biased and the current sale is pretty great too. If I was in the need for a rangefinder, now I'd take advantage of the sale but if I could wait, I would definitely wait until the NX9 HD comes out.

I have a couple of questions for those who have the NX7 Pro.
    1) Are there any issues using the rangefinder with polarized sunglasses? This is an issue with some Nikon models.
    2) Has anyone compared slope range performance between the NX7 Pro and slope models from other OEMs?
    Thanks.

I've had my NX7 Pro for over a year now. It's worked flawlessly. It's nice seeing such a quality offering available at a very fair price.

Left my Bushnell V2 in the golf cart at the end of the round...doh. Of course no one has seen it at the course (it made it all the way to the cart barn for sure). Bottom line is its my fault. Decided to go with an NX7 Pro. I have just been really impressed with the comments here on WRX. Hopefully Ill get to take it out on the course next week.

I was on the fence but the reviews on the NX 7 Pro were so good I had to get one to replace my aging V2 Bushnell which was starting to have trouble ranging flags; guess it is worn out. Anyway the $40 coupon convinced me and it arrived yesterday. Played today and had zero issue hitting flags, without reflectors. Longest I ranged today was around 225. Very light and easy to aim. My first with slope and loved it on the hilly course I play. I would highly recommend the NX 7 Pro. I actually like it better than the more expensive bushnells and the callaways in our group. And at this sale price a no brainer for me. The NX9 might be fancier but I don't think it could hit flags any faster or accurately.

    1) Nope. I've worn polarized lens for a decade now and it's never been an issue. This display seems like a LCD watch face type of readout and not a projected view. Those I'd imagine would be difficult with polarized.
    2) Nope. NX7 is my first range finder.

Wasn't worried about the display so much although that could be an issue as well. Polarization issue I have seen with Nikon is you can't see the flag or anything else in the viewer. Thanks for the response!

Does anyone have a remedy for shaky hands when using a rangefinder other than using both hands? I have an NX7 Pro and at the range yesterday trying to hit a pin that read 240 yds felt like I just couldn’t keep it stable

Bought the Nexus about 3 yrs ago and hadn't had a problem. The Nexus will slide over to the daughters bag and I will get the NX7 in about a few days. Good stuff!

Haven't used with polarized glasses but do wear my regular glasses with bifocals and transition lenses without issue.

    2) Has anyone compared slope range performance between the NX7 Pro and slope models from other OEMs?

Played yesterday with friend who has a Bushnell V4 slope and we were within a yard or so all day so it appears that they use similar formulas for the slope and the yard or so is the error built into the 2 units.

Also, the NX7 seemed to be just as fast or faster to acquire the target but of course that could have been our differences in steadying the units, etc. Overall still happy with the NX7 pro after 2 rounds.
