Wow, Really nice. Glad they got rid of the bronze color and went to what looks like a black.

But what I'm really interested in is the AP2's, though my wallet is not excited....or will be the wifey. All though I can't seem them really improving on the AP2 716 much at all.

This was going to be the year my irons stayed in the bag - I'm safe until they come to the US market

I haven't been as happy as I am with my irons in years as I have been with my TMBs

So less of the tungsten coloring on the sole and maybe more black than bronze/copper or whatever the 716 color is called? What else did they do to it?

I believe they added more tungsten into the club/sole and it's suppose to be even more forgiving than AP2 now. According to that link I posted previously.

T-MB full set owner. Just amazing irons. The 716's are already crazy forgiving. Watch out for a likely price bump though if they're using even more tungsten in the 718. Not a cheap material.

The little known secret is the C16 irons seem almost illegal in how easy to use and the performance they have. At $2700 for 4-AW they may still be more than the 718 T MB, but not by much. The set I had the 4 iron was longer than any hybrid or fairway titleist offered until you got to the 3 wood. Longer also than a 2 iron in 716 T MB I had.. Ironically although a filled hollow body they looked very good at address. Probably why they didn't do a 3 iron where the sole would have been visible at address like the new Ping i200 iron. Originally got them as a complete set with the C16 driver. The driver was a monumental disappointment, but the irons were amazing. The 917D drivers are all better by a significant amount compared to the C16. Maybe the driver was to discover what didn't work (save the make money weight system)

Scheduled for release in Japan on March 24.

While the T-MB are in the same iron cycle as the CB and MB (716, 718 etc), the T-MB is released much earlier - and in Japan only - than the CB and MB.

Too early for those. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but the new Titleist iron pics usually don't surface until the end of June at the Quicken Loans National tourney.

i can't Imagine that they could make any improvements over the 716 T-MB... those things are cannons. If they have... then good on you titleist.

How forgiving are the T-MB's in the long irons, specifically the 3 and 2?

They are certainly more forgiving than regular blades. But the key with any club is getting the proper shaft for your swing. At a demo day they only had a 3-iron with the AMT S300 available, which wasn't the right shaft for me. When I hit the 7-iron at a fitting, I hit it with the XP95 shaft and it was really forgiving, as well as being nuclear as far as length.
