Putter grips - pistol versus straight

I've been using a straight (aka non tapered) putter grips for several years. I've gone back and forth from different Super Stroke sizes (2.0 and 3.0) and currently gaming a Tour Snsr 140 cc Straight. However, I'm debating giving another go at a pistol style grip if I can find the right size, weight and feel since that's what I grew up using. I used to game Winn Pistol Jumbo but got away from it due to poor moisture management and durability issues (mid west heat, humidity and rain is not good combination for Winn; Super Strokes don't last either). Are there any good pistol style grips of similar weight to the Winn/Tour Snsr that are rubber? I'm debating Iomic Absolute Jumbo but have no experience with them. Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure what grip the new EVNROLL putters use, but when I've demo'ed them.. It's almost like a combo of a straight grip but it's also got a pistol feel up top. I currently use a pistol grip in my Ping putter but I've used various superstroke grips before. Whatever the grip is they use is the best of both worlds.

It really depends if you like larger grips or not. Maybe look into that EVNROLL grip style and see what's out there which is similar?

It is a Winn Pro X 1.18. I like the size but it's too light for me unfortunately. Plus, my experience with Winn is they don't last long (same problem as Super Stroke).

I could have sworn Lamkin made a heavier weighted grip that I would consider to be slightly toward the medium large side, similar to that Winn grip. I was looking for a grip to replace the CB'ed slim 3 I had on my older mallet and that one seemed to fit the bill. I ended up not going that route though because I bought a different putter.

It wasn't pistol though so that probably defeats the point...

Can I ask why you need/want a heavy grip? Is it for CB'ing purpose or swing weight?

I love the lamkin sink pistol grip. It feels perfect in my hands and feels like it squares up the back of my left hand. Im right handed. Its also supposed to be of a lighter rubber which translates to a heavier feeling head. Alas, i have a penchant for leather on my putters though so the sink is on the back up, but not because it didnt perform admirably.

Correct, don't think it's a pistol. It's for counterbalancing purposes and I prefer feel of rubber versus Superstroke/Winn.

This may be the play. Didn't realize they have a pistol style but they do. Thanks!

Not sure if the contour SNSR is actually a pistol, but I did have the 104cc straight on a putter and just changed to the red, contour 104cc. For some reason I like a more rounded back profile and it just feels right in my hands. The straight grip seemed too deep front to back for my liking, but again, I have no experience with the bigger 140 sizes.
