Mitsubishi diamana "thump" 115's. Anyone have Them or tried them?

Just looking at he MRC website and saw these thump iron shafts.

I've been trying in vain to find a heavy, low launch, low spin graphite iron shaft that I like.

I've got early onset arthritis in my hands and I need the dampening effects of graphite but every graphite shaft I try I don't like for one or more reasons. I've tried atnleast 7 varieties that I can think of in the last 2 years. I'm tired of trying. I'm playing tour V's now and they're fine, except they are hard on my joints.

I can't find anything on these shafts as far as review go. Anyone hit them or have them??

I've played the Thump in hybrid and it's a smooth and stout shaft. I think if it's the same profile it might be a winner. Have you tried the Fuji PRO 95i ?

Too light. Don't get along with the light ones at all. List so far:

Recoil proto 110 f5

Recoil proto 125 f5

Loomis tour 120x

Loomis EFP 95 x

Fujikura MCI 120x

Fujikura rombax 115i S (tipped)

Graphite design tour AD 115 s/x combo flex.

Steelfiber 110 X

Steelfiber 125 S (hard stepped)

I'm obviously frustrated and have spent many thousands on this. I find serious fault with all of these in one way or another, it doesnt help that I'm a high launch high spin guy. Most of these are spinny and just go to the moon. Some are just balanced strange. They feel odd in my hands just to even waggle them. Some feel bizarre through impact. Etc., etc.

I'm seriously considering giving up and just doing steel with sensicore inserts. Even right now, my hands ache from hitting yesterday evening with my tour V's.

You need to try some before buying......if your asking bunch of strangers and than buy and they don't don't work out well I hate to say it but " told ya so"......

They're are plenty of graphite shafts that are stout out there.....they can make graphite anyway they want.....

But you have to research and then find one to test

I think you misunderstood my previous post. There aren't very many left that I haven't tried. I've owned and played all 9 shafts that I listed above over the last two years. At this stage of the game I'll take some input If anyone's had experience with the thumps and can give me some general guidance or feelings on them it would help. Compare them to other graphites. Compare them to other steel shafts. Anything.

As far as research goes, There is no information or reviews on them on the internet. I've looked. That's the point of my post. Research.

I don't even know what they cost but I don't want to dump another 600+ on a set of shafts and not like them again.

I think Aldila RIP Tours are what you're looking for man. Item of note they play VERY VERY VERY stiff to flex. Boo Weekly played them for several years on tour and won with them i believe.

Like Albatross85 said, the Aldila RIP tours seem to fit what you are looking for. Instead buying a whole set to try them out, why not just order one of the Thump's and one of the RIP's and try them each out in a 6 or 7 iron before making your decision? Seems like you could try both without having to splurge on a whole set.

Agreed . The RIP Tours are like rebar compared to the recoils or the Fuji's that I've had. That also includes SteelFibers. They feel like a noodle compared to the RIP. I was fitted into Fibers in Stiff, but tried the RIP and couldn't load the Stiff. Even the Reg flex felt like it might be too much. You can find s single shaft of them on eBay and not lose much if they don't work.

Rip tours are long discontinued. Going to be tough to replace if one breaks. I’ve always played sensicore in my steel shafts, but that’s not enough for me.

I have ordered some 6 iron shafts for a winter graphite experiment. Just haven’t got around to trying all of them. Currently playing Modus 120TX- Right now the Accra is by far the best one for me. I have the following:

Accra Tour 125, Aerotech 125, Fujikura MCI, Fujikura Pro tS95, Mitsubishi Thump 115, Mitsubishi OTi 125 (backordered) Paderson Nickel, and Veylix Arcane 115.

If you can’t go through a club fitting and can build clubs, getting one shaft of each and trying them out is the best test in my eyes.

Wait for the new Mitsubishi OTi Tour shafts. Smooth and powerful.

What you putting the thump 115 in

Sound advice. Issue is that even one thump shaft is 160USD. That’s an expensive experiment lol

Anyone played the 95 thunp iron shafts?

The stiff x465ct's?

Got a line on a new set for relatively cheap

I do have two 4 iron stiffs that I installed in 25 hybrids

Thinking I could put one of these into a 5 iron hea and test as a soft stepped stifff

I like the hybrid shafts

Much cheaper than buying sets! I play 3 iron through LW and will rotate in a 2 driving iron so a set of 12 Shafts that doesn’t work is an expensive experiment! My irons are 0311T and play the 0311X driving iron.
