Super happy to read this. More Pros need to take this stance. These guys are scourge of the earth and I tell you what, If my son was trying to get an autograph and they barreled over him or smooshed him, they would get a lot more than choice words. We as a golf community also need to stop buying this stuff from them. It's terrible what they do. I don't even like bidding on stuff at charity auctions from athletes. I feel like unless they are there saying they donated it then it might have been attained in this manner

Seems high-horse-y and awfully easy for a millionaire to say to the regular Joe. He worked hard to earn his lot, for sure, but that doesn't give him the right to judge a person as indecent scum.

Surprised the front page article on here gives the opinion and title it gives without stating all the facts, namely the specific reaction Jordan mentioned and was quoted in regard to particular language and the situation. Not really a fair picture given, then a defense of the autograph seekers. Opinion is fine, don't have to agree, but if you are leaving out key facts it just doesn't carry any weight.

I don't really think he was being judge mental overall. That one comment may have been. But was less over the line than the f bomb the other side dropped. Sometimes you have to call a duck a duck. You can be certain that for someone like him to publicly comment on this it's been going on forever and there is far more behind the scenes than we know. He didn't just single out some guys he didn't know very well. These are pushy pros he is familiar with.

I think as long as I live I will not understand the attraction of an autograph to an adult.

My youngest is into drag racing and we have went to the pits and he has had a few things signed and he thinks it is cool that he got to meet a driver and talk with them a second or two.

There are adults in these lines waiting to get stuff signed and I always wonder what they are thinking.

Grown men/women wanting autographs is pathetic..the only reason for that...at that age is profit or patheticness..yes I know that's not a word...yet!

I have never sought an autograph, but I see these adults shoving what not into a golfer's face (or other pro athlete), and I find it all a bit repellent.

I've got no issues with it. It's the same as a person that collects, say, stamps. It's just a cool thing to have for some people. Maybe frame it up and put it up on the wall of a man cave or something. Fine, in the current days of cameras on phones we tend to just try to take a picture now, but it's kinda the same thing..

Who uses checks these days anyways? Don't we all just direct credit everything??
