I've had great success for the last ten years or so with clubs being much better than expected but last week I bought a set of irons and two wedges, both listed as very good condition and they all went back. They shouldn't have even been rated good never mind very. This was my first purchase from them since the merger and I think that may have something to do with it.

Ordered a very good H1, and it was probably a like new condition.

Was this recently?

Maybe about 3 weeks ago...expect what the description says and hope you get something better...some people have some high hopes for what they are buying, which isn't always realistic.

I'm not expecting better.

Just hoping that I don't get worse.

We'll see in a couple of days

I have ordered a bunch of wedges from them recently all in very good condition. They were just as described in my opinion. You could see that they had been used, but minimally. All under $40 each. I have bought way too much from them lately, my fiancee is not too happy about it

In the bag, at the moment:
Callaway Paradym 💎 💎 💎 S TC 10.5* Autoflex SF505X

Callaway Mavrik SZ TC 17* Aldila Rogue White 70S

Callaway Apex UW 21* Project X Hrzdus Smoke Black 70S

Callaway Apex 19 4H 23* Project X Catalyst 70S

Callaway Apex TCB 5 - AW Project X 5.5 shafts
Callaway Jaws Raw 56* bent to 55* & 60* Project X 5.5 shafts

Odyssey White Hot Versa Three T Slant / Mizuno M Craft V Blue Ion

Titleist Pro V1x

My very good irons arrived.

If I go by the description then they are okay.. they are probably more toward good than very good but I can live with it.

I wasn't lucky enough to get very good irons that are actually more like new as seems to have happened to pthers in the past.

Now I'm waiting on a mint putter from Dallas Golf.. I wonder what that will look like??

I think when your talking forged irons you always run a bit more of a risk. With a mint putter I wouldn't worry.

Yeah I'm not worried. It is what it is.

Do you mind sharing pictures? How much did you pay? I almost bought vapor pro combos from the 3balls.

I'll get some pics up in the next few days.

They came in a nice box but there was no packaging, no bubble wrap, no newspaper nothing. Just forged heads chattering away all the way from the US to Australia. Honestly I think I got global golf stock.

The chatter isn't too bad however and what I would have expected from forged so not a real issue.

One of the irons has a ball mark out on the chrome part of the toe which is annoying.

The main issue is significant scratching on the black pvd of the long irons along with some dings on the aluminum cavity insert.

I paid $320 USD via 3 balls ebay, but with shipping and currency conversion to AUD it cost me a little more than I would have liked.

I probably wouldn't buy from them again in a hurry.

They feel freakin amazing though!!!

Thank you for reply. I would be pissed if I received the forged irons way you decribed it. Glad I didnt buy it. I requested actual pictures from them since it is used clubs but they denied it. If scratches on black pvd bothers you, there is how-to remove them. Enjoy your sticks.

Yeah some bubble wrap on forged heads wouldn't have hurt.

If removing the black pvd is an easy diy job I might just do this. I quite like the look of the Japan version with no black.

I've purchased clubs from 3balls for the last several years and they have always met or exceeded my expectations.

I just got a 915 driver in like new condition, the head was still wrapped in plastic and the face still had stickers on it. For $219 I thought it was a great deal.

What should I expect from a hybrid in "Very Good" condition? Just trying to get an idea if the sole will be scratched up, still black, etc. The pics and description with this don't really help.
