Golf grips

I've been using the NDMC for a couple of seasons now and am wondering if any of you have switched to the Super Stroke S-tech or Star grips? I really like the NDMC but heard good things about Star and SS (plus they are cheaper). My concern is they are less expensive and thus don't last like Golf Pride. Also, I have become use to the cord in the NDMC so my concern is also I'll miss this. Any thoughts on the subject are welcome relating to durability and moisture management (I play in Midwest so need good grip for summer months).

I made that very switch this time last year and couldn't be happier. I play about 100 rounds a year and replace my S-Techs mid season (2 sets per season total). I prefer how they feel (tacky but not sticky) and they don't tear up my hands like NDMC. I do believe NDMC are slightly more durable, but the other advantages are worth it, to me.

For me, they are basically a modern Tour Velvet... love them!

Take a look at the Lamkin UTX grip. It's a cord and very soft on your hands. I put mine on last year and love them. I don't wear a glove but as I said they are easy on the hands. Long lasting and great in the rain. Plus if you order them from the Lamkin site they are much less than the Golf Prides. Friday is when they seem to have their specials (free shipping and lower price). Good luck.

What grit sandpaper do you use on cord grips when they start slicking?

Z-grip or similar.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm going to try an S tech on one of my extra clubs since they aren't very expensive. Glad to hear they are good with moisture management! I love NDMC but they certainly do chew up the hands with the cord. I also have tried the UTX Lamkin and am not a fan so far.

personally, I use 0000 steel wool....seems that I don't take as much material off, and can get the cord back to where I need it
