Tiger Woods greatest shot of all time

Tiger recently stated what he considers his greatest shot of all time.

And no, it's not the putt heard around the world at the 2005 Masters.

It was a fairway bunker shot with a 3 iron at the 2002 PGA Championship (Hazeltine #18).

When in Dubai, Woods recorded an interview with CNN's Living Golf, and was asked what his favourite shot was. The answer may come as a surprise.

An approach shot, out of the bunker on the last hole of Woods' second round at the 2002 PGA Championship at Hazeltine was his immediate reply, when asked by the host Shane O'Donoghue.

"That 3-iron out of the bunker there was the greatest feeling shot I've ever hit in my life. I've never hit a shot that good".

That's the longest 8 foot putt I've ever seen.

Cool to hear it from the horse's (tiger's) mouth, but there are so many incredible shots I can't even imagine picking just one. Fabulous shot regardless.

He definitely should of won the 2002 PGA. People remember that he birdied the last four but the stretch of holes before that, did him in.

To this day, and no one will ever convince me otherwise, the one he let slip away the most (besides the 2009 PGA) was the 2010 US Open. He had all the momentum after Saturday and all he had to do was shoot even par on Sunday and he would've won. If I would've told you that all Tiger would've had to do was shoot an even par round at Pebble Beach and he wins the US Open, you would've looked at it as the lock of the century.

With the speed that putt was traveling when it hit the hole on 13 its a good thing it went in. That took some nads.

Theres a reason that was his last major though. He used up a lifetimes worth of 60 foot putts and chip ins just to get in a playoff. Very gutsy but also as he admitted very lucky. My favorite shot is also the one at hazeltine above. pure power

A little revisionist though with all due respect. He could have also had as little as 10 though. He didnt let it get away Beem took it away from him. Yang took it away from him. Look at the smirk on tigers face after yang makes birdie on 18 right in his face. He has that you mother f***er look!

Purely epic stuff, historic and heroic. Dude was, is and will always be golf. No one has ever played the game better. Bone chilling bad a** on the course. He cut your heart out and handed it back to you in the palm of his hand with eyes of steel. Todays erratic, soft, whiny, multi millionaire kids who are just as likely to miss a cut as contend would need to change their underwear 10 times if they were paired with prime Tiger.
