So very sad to hear Kelvin had a stroke. He has an unbelievable eye for breaking down the golf swing. I have learned a ton from his articles over the years. Hope he can recover and have some quality of life.

That is terrible to hear. He's written some great articles for the enthusiast.

Articles on spine engine and fascia suggest he's either an unappreciated prodigy or researching and writing stoned. Not sure why it would send you in a different life direction Petunia Sprinkle?

It got me looking at fascia for really the first time. I started reading a mess of stuff about it. As a result, I ditched weight lifting for Yoga. Ended up regaining a lot of flexibility and mobility, two things that are far more important to me than absolute strength. (BP went down, too.) So, it would probably be more exact to say that his article started me looking in a different direction.

A little while ago a friend of mine made an appointment for a therapeutic massage method called 'Rolfing.'

It is supposed to stretch the fascia and he told me it was the greatest therapy he's ever had.

Rolfing is no joke!!! My good friend is certified in the graston technique which is another tremendous way to treat adhesions, fascia issues, etc.

Richie, how's Kelvin recovering?

I did Rolfing in late 70s. I think that was the experience that got me thinking about the differences between constructive and destructive pain.

I don't know how he's doing.

My high school golf team's coach's wife had a stroke at a similar age. After about a year she was still in bad shape and I thought she would always be horribly afflicted by it. But, 2 years later she pretty much made about a full recovery. That taught me how serious a stroke is, but also to never give up on a victim.

The news was very depressing to me because Kelvin not only helped my golf game tremendously, but I genuinely liked talking to him about anything and despite being from completely opposite ends of the country, we had a lot in common.

I'm glad I took the shot at working with him on my game and I only regret that I didn't do it sooner.

In case anyone hasn't seen it, Kelvin has a new site with videos up. I think Denny Lucas is basically running things while Kelvin is recovering.

I've gotten to know some Kelvin instructors the past several months and it's been a very positive experience. Really good info on how the body works and it's certainly helped with the direction I've been going with my swing.

Denny is in Jupiter and if anyone is in Orlando I'd recommend Josh Koch,

Sorry for the bump of this thread. But I'm wondering how Kelvin is doing? Kelvin and Lucas Wald's teachings are the reason why I'm shooting in the 70s.

I hate to speak out of turn, but to my knowledge Kelvin's family has requested privacy in his recovery and I don't think anybody in the game of golf knows his current situation.

When Kelvin had his stroke my attitude has always been that if there was anything I could do for him or his family, I would do it. If his family is requesting privacy I think it's best that we grant them that privacy. Believe me, when he recovers and is back to teaching...we will find out.

I wish him a speedy recovery.

After a serious stroke that the doctors said may affect the mother of a friend the rest of her life, 68yrs old, a naturopath put her on Magnesium and Selenium powder, not tablets, she fully recovered after 6 months. Doctors were amazed.

Ping G410+ Tensei Orange Pro.

Mizuno GT180 shaft as above.

Adams 3H  Aldila Blue.

Wilson FG100 4i-PW.

Wilson PMP 52/56/60

Putters....too many.
