Juan Putter vs Bobby Grace Lets Face It

Has anyone tried both of these putters that can share their opinion of each or feedback from users of either one?

I have gone to side saddle off and on over the past 3-4 years and I keep going back to it, but I have not landed a constant gamer as of yet. I have bought and sold a number of putters but haven't tried either of the above named ones as of yet, mostly due to the cost of each of them. Unfortunately both of those are not available to demo at any local stores. I like the shorter length putters on side saddle (under 44") due to the style I am comfortable with, so I thought I would splurge on one. I am particularly interested in hearing opinions on the face insert of the Bobby Grace if anyone has tried one.

I own both, and have putted extensively with both. By a small but significant margin, the JuanPutt is a better club, IMO. That is NO way should be construed as me saying that there is ANYTHING wrong with the BG/LFI; there isn't. It's more a matter of some "extra" features of the JuanPutt.

1. The JP is a little bit head heavier, and I would suspect (no proof) that it has a bit better MOI.

2. I feel like the heavier weight takes away a little bit of the "hit" impulse.

3. The JP has a white stripe on the head that is the exact width of a golf ball, with a line down the center of it, and the head is the same width of the hole. This makes for a VERY nice setup, especially on shorter putts.

But that's about it, really. Again, both are really well-made clubs.

LOL, I was about to say the same thing! Other than buying new, there are not a lot of opportunities to pick up a used one to try it out. Thanks for the feedback guys. I have sent BG some emails and spoke to him once already and am leaning toward the LFI, mostly due to the insert / face design but I do like the alignment lines on the Juan. I will pull the trigger this week.

Well I went ahead and the picked up a Bobby Grace LFI putter. I'll share some thoughts after I get out and play with it a couple of times.

Looks like 2 were sold recently, I'd easily have paid that for that putter. So if someone here bought it and decided they didn't like it, shoot me a PM!

I have both. Like 'em both. But find I putt better with the Bobby Grace.

My golf pro has a drill where he wants me once a week to go and sink 30 3 ft putts in a row.

I struggled to do it with my Juan putter. Knocked 'em all in with my Bobby Grace.

Have both (including the proto LFI and the retail version). I only find myself putting with the Proto at this point and really like it. There are some subtle nuances between the two, as the proto's offset still keeps the shaft a little behind the face of the putter, while the retail's offset takes the shaft almost even with the face. I only started side saddling with the proto so its just what I feel the most comfortable with.

The JP is a fine putter, but I don't foresee myself actually playing with it for an extended period of time as of right now. I went out and practiced with it and it rolled the ball fine, but it seemed too head heavy to me compared to the LFI, just a feel thing, but thats kinda where I'm at with it right now. I might be putting it on the BST and just take my chances sticking with the BG for the year.
