Sorry, I don't have a great answer to your questions, but our annual guys' golf trip was to Myrtle Beach last year and I would highly recommend Caledonia and Tidewater.

OK thanks for that info. I don't mind playing on my own and I understand not much choice on who you play with maybe I will just roll the dice a couple days and see who I end up playing with haha.

Call the course or use a booking agent. I have done that in the past, they will group you with other people. I had a blast playing with new people all the time.

Just call the courses you would like to play and see if they can get you in with a group who is short a man. Been going to MB the last 8 years to play. We will be there on the 9th after our trip to the Masters!

Thanks for all of the info! I thought about day tripping over to the masters for a practice round but tickets are expensive!!!! That will have to be a trip for another year definitely on my bucket list though. I don't mind playing with others so I think I will call the courses ahead and let them know.

Someone mentioned a booking agent. Are they worth using? & Can anyone recommend one?

I've played the last two years by myself while the family is back at the hotel. Now I try and play as early as possible so I don't feel bad for leaving the wife with the kids, I'm usually done by lunch time.

But what I do is look at the 48 hour rates. You can find them on any of the MB tee time sites. I find a course I want to play that has an early tee time and then I call up that course and tell them that I see they have a 7:33am tee time available would it be possible for me to get out, I'm just a single. And I verify over the phone that I'm getting the 48 hour rate. Last three times I played this worked. Or you could just try and book the 48 hour rate through the MB tee time web site.

I'm heading there again the second week of April and plan on doing this again.

Have fun.

practice tix arent very expensive, scalpers on washington road have them all day long. leave myrtle in the morning arrive at the masters around 11 or 12, pick up a cheap ticket, go buy some merch, walk the course then head back to myrtle.

I am heading to Myrtle Beach next week and my wife doesn't golf. What is the best way to go about booking rounds for myself? I don't mind playing with other people I don't know but would like it if they were of similar age and caliber. Any info you can provide would be helpful!

Thanks in advance!

I go during Memorial Day Weekend, not as many golfers due to the bikers. Played solo twice. Best course was the TPC of Myrtle Beach. I went out about 3PM and did not see another soul until the 12th hole. Great price, only $50.00.

That's a great price for that course. When I played it something like 14 years ago, it was $100 ish.
