Today I had 8 birdies and shot even par. It could have been one for the ages. What is the most birds you have made and still not broken par?

Four, which just happened this afternoon. I shot 74 on a par 72. My driver was not matriculating the ball down the fairway very well.

I've never broken par......close but never got there.....but I've had 5 birdies in a round. If I had the short game and putting skills then that I do now the round probably would have been -3.

I used to spend hours and hours on the driving range and almost no time on short game and putting. Now that I'm older my body can't take hitting balls for hours so I now spend almost all my time on short game and putting.

Made 7 in a college tourney and shot even 72 as well. Couple doubles and hit my bag on one hole too (ball shot off a tree and rolled back 20 yards and hit my headcover of Sunday bag)...back when it was still a penalty.

6 in the front, 10 tee I " figured" , in my BS, in need to change something.

    Smooth 78.

    I'm confused.

Is this a passive brag or an "I really Suck" thread?

Mine is 7. Shot an 82. I fall into the "I really suck" side.

Pretty sure there was a quad in there somewhere. Still one of my best rounds. Lol...

One time I had 6 birdies in a tournament and shot 78! Went 33 - 45 with a quad on the 10th hole. I was always a middle of the pack golfer in tournaments, but I was leading after 27 holes in this event. Couldn't handle the pressure!

    4. Shot 75 that day. I've never broken par though, so don't even know what that feels like and right about now can't even fathom how many birdies it's going to take to do it.

Passive brag for sure! If I had never broken par before I might have found it very frustrating, but dropping 8 birds was super fun even if it came with 8 bogies.

We gotta brag about something. It's nice to know that I'm not the only one who can be a star and suck all in the same round. Far better thread than yammering about whether this club is better than that club.

6 shot 73 when I was about a 14 HCP. about 20 years ago. Best round to date.

    Now I am a 10.2 and haven't broke 80 in two years.....

    6, in a round of 83!

Best of the 6 was a 50 foot putt that hit my partners ball marker to change direction and go in.

I've only had multiple birdies a handful of times with three (in a row, no less) being my best.

I've never come close to breaking par.

I think five birdies and shot 73. Recently, I also had an eagle and two birdies and shot 77. I finished bogey-bogey-double. That is the way to finish strong. Haha. I definitely am really good at sabotaging my rounds. Lol.

6 birdies and an eagle. Most birdies I've ever had in a round. What a shame. The crazy thing was that it was a blowup in the first few holes, so it wasn't like I was going low and then screwed it up. I was just trying to get back to a respectable score and the putts kept dropping.

Sweet part about my round was I was 3 over on the box at 16 and birdied my way in. Nice way to finish a round.

I've always been long and wrong, so this all sounds familiar. I've had days where my total for three holes equaled my total for the fourth, then I would do it again on the next four.... Stupid game.

Bad memories thinking about this. 7. Had 5 on the front and shot even with zero pars. 2 on the back for even. 72.
