To be fair to Smails, that was hardly a fair contest. Danny Noonan for Al was a hardly a like for like trade. And I think the ten second rule had definitely expired by the time the explosions caused the ball to drop in the hole lol.

I like to see the good guys win in real life. Wrestling and Caddyshack aren't actually real. Some movies are what's called fiction, and professional wrestling have what's called worked matches (not fake cause those guys are athletic and plenty tough, but worked so they don't have deaths or serious injuries during every match).

Edit: I do like to believe that Caddyshack was based on true events. I just watched it again tonite and was in stitches again. I know every scene and line word for word but it still cracks me up every time.

Totally agree. Accordingly, I am always hesitant to call someone a welcher unless I know for sure; and likely not even then. I think it's one of the most dishonorable things someone can be called. Let's hope it was a misunderstanding or something...

I've met Ben on several occasions. Great guy and great sense of humor. Self deprecating all the time about his slow play
