Anyone going? I have Monday-Friday Tickets

Any tips on what the best course of action is Mon-Weds at practice rounds at a PGA event? Was thinking of just following a group , im liking Reed, Blixt, Cameron, DJ (if he's healthy ), Zach Johnson, Mickelson .

I've followed on a Thursday , Friday before , just don't know what practice rounds are like.

I live in wilmington if anyone needs any info on the area. Traffic is a bear at the best of times. Wrightsville beach is fun to cool off at. Downtown Wilmington has a lot of fun nightlife . Don't hold it against Wilm if we kinda shank this tourney, it's been since 1971 since the last one. But I do hope it goes off without a hitch! :)

I just moved here this week, probably going to watch a day or two. Are you a member at any of the private golf clubs in the area?

Fun Practice /Pro-Am day Monday! Everyone should come out and check out the course. A tour official was quoted in the Star News as saying it was the "3rd best" course he had ever seen!! So it is In Augusta esque shape. The pros look good and I think the course is besting some of them. The greens are like glass and the wind was blowing about 15-20 mph. I think it'd be at least a 12 on the Stimp Meter. Actually just googled it and a rules official said 12.5! I was close.

Anyhow, get out here and enjoy some golf if you've got nothing better to do.

Saw some pictures that Zac Blair posted on twitter and that course looks amazing.

It is in impeccable shape. They musta bought half the miracle grow factory. I watched a guy tap his ball onto the green and it rolled 20 feet and fell off the other side. Amazing. We had some rain last night so that could slow them down a bit.

I decided I wasn't going to buy tickets because I couldn't afford it and then Zac Blair just gave me free ones. What an awesome guy!

For you Wilmingtonians, where are the best places to play golf around here? Besides Eagle Point of course

Pure might be an understatement! Excited to see the coverage, a few of the holes look immaculate. I wonder if this could be a future US Open/PGA site sometime down the road, from what I've read its popular with a lot of players.

Course looks great. I saw that a bunch of players withdrew so not alot of depth in the field once you get past the top guys.

Another ILM guy here! Glad to see a few on here! I will be there Fri-Sun, even though fri doesn't look great weather wise. I have yet to hear a bad thing about the course this week. All of the pros have been RAVING about it.

Another cool fun fact. The First Tee of Wilmington just opened up its new facility this week that is part of the Wilmington Municipal course. The wilmington Muni is special in itself. It is a Donald Ross track and I believe it is his only one. AWESOME course. This project is awesome. It is a little short course area to help grow the game. Great thing about it, The city of ILM didn't have to pay for a dime for the build. It was privately funded and I believe Wells Fargo chipped in a bunch. Wells Fargo also donated $100,000 during the grand opening yesterday. just got back from playing it. Great layout. What else?

Wilmington Muni is a Ross design. Haven't played it but reviews are good. Not much else in Wilmington area... if you don't mind a bit of a drive Tiger's Eye and Leopard's Chase are by the same architect and about another 40 minutes south of CFN on Hwy 17. Carolina National, River's Edge, and Thistle are down that way as well and a similar commute. All are pretty solid.

I have been fortunate enough to play the course twice. It is a phenomenal track.

Conditions are second to none, and the layout is almost Augusta-like. Eagle Point is easily in my top 3 I have had the opportunity to play, up there with The Ocean Course at Kiawah and Bulls Bay.

These guys will go low if they can hit the right piece of the green in approaches. Greens are immaculate.

Masonboro CC, which is public, will wear you out. It's fun, but hard. 145 slope.

"Hard" - Yes

"Fun" - That's debatable...

IMHO it is too tight, wedged into a too small piece of land, and has too many goofy holes.

Definitely check out the entire course. It is spectacular

DJ is getting to be scary good. Coming off an injury and a few weeks off, looks like he's shooting a 75 and posts -2.

Alex is no stranger to winning. If he's in contention sunday last 9 he won't back down. The coolest of the scandinavians.
