Props to Callaway

So I've been a long time Cally driver and fw wood fan since the XHot came out. I've played the Xhot driver exclusively since it's launch along with a tour issue Xhot 4 wood. Anyway, I'm known as a fidgetor and am always tweaking things including the face angle of the driver (if you aren't in the know the Xhot adaptor only adjust to standard, open, and closed). After so much fidgeting the screw in the head stripped. I brought it to PGA to get a new screw installed. They told me they would have to send it to Callaway. I immediately figured this to be a $50 repair minimum for adaptor and labor. So PGA calls me a week later to tell me my club is ready. I asked them what the cost was and they said free. So I figured that was nice of Callaway to do that for free. Fast forward to the next morning and I drive to the PGA and pick up the club. When I opened the box what I saw absolutely floored me. They sent me back my original upgraded shaft with the tip installed and they also sent me a brand new XR 16!!! I couldn't believe it. I was actually eyeing a 2016 M2 and was ready to make the $300 plunge and become a TM driver guy which I never wanted to do (not a big TM guy even though my irons are Adams CMB and I have and Adams hybrid). Anyway, they just gained a Callaway wood player for life. I'll never switch. For what it's worth I also play the X Proto blades from time to time. Greatest blade ever made.

Nice work to Cally. They seem to have always been reasonable for warranty work unless something excessive is up. Weird that they wouldn't just put a new screw/adapter in it versus replacing the entire head, so maybe they found something else up with it. Or maybe it was just easier/faster to do the whole thing. Either way, great for you.
